Well, Max's hoped for move back east was tragically delayed when the entire Atlantic coast was invaded by mutant, air-breathing jellyfish. Meanwhile, Gary and Scott considered taking Mac up on his offer pizza and beer in exchange for help moving, despite the fact that they all lived in differnt parts of the country. And, across town, several local prostitutes decided to pay a visit to....No, wait! That's my soaop opera!

Damn, I was counting on those libidinous ladies. Now I'm screwed ... or I'm not screwed ...

Conundrum.

In the middle of reading The Dresdan Files. The books are so freaking good.

I love them as well. Did you ever read his Alera series?

Makes me want to try a Roman themed RPG. :)

Gratz! Good news is good to hear every once in a while!

Wednesday group finally made it through Horror at Dagger Rock. Now to turn them loose in the Old Margreve forest. They should be there through about level 7 then on to the Citadel of Pain. Oh the horror!

That's the plan. When are you going to be there again? There is a week in July where I will be out of town.

In the long term, no one fixed way that I know of. In the short term ginger provides some temporary relief for most stomach pain. You can take ginger pills, drink ginger tea, or just chew on candied ginger.

Aaahh pretty good just writing my 8th season of "Firefly" that won't ever be shown.

according to a certain thread, the less people that see your work, the better it is. Therefore, I hope this becomes a masterpiece, viewed by none!

I'm reading legion, kick ass 2, dungeons and dragons comic, game of thrones comic, avengers academy and that's about it.

So, been reading a LOT of comics lately (trying to clear my backlog) - just read the last 16 issues of X-force, first 7 of Wolverine and the X-men, last 10 of Avengers, re-read We3, and read the first 12 Young Avengers (picked up a HC of it).

and....

I'm digging it. I really thought I wouldn't like Wolverine and the X-men - but I really HAVE enjoyed the headmaster wolverine schtick. Some really good writing on that title - some of the beast dialogue has had me laughing pretty hard. my favorite "I may have made the espresso machine a tad TOO intelligent. This morning it turned on me and tried to strangle me to death with it's cords... that, or I may need more then three hours of sleep a week."

X-force has been a lot of fun, with Genesis (apocalypse jr.) and the whole Dark Angel Saga. I'm getting really revved up for upcoming X-men vs Avengers crossover, and I think I'll get all of it (I have every issue of House of M, Civil war, and World War Hulk, and Siege.) as I kind of regret not picking up Secret Invasion. I wasn't too interested in it, but not having it leaves a large hole in my comic line.

On the book side of things, just finished reading Joe Abercrombie's The Blade Itself trilogy - good stuff. Started reading the hunger games on the wife's reccomendation - not bad at all, even if it *does* reek of Battle Royale - which is fine by me.

This has been a (not so brief) update on what I'm reading. You folks?

Edit - if you haven't read We3 you really, realy should. Fantastic.

Hey Freehold;

How's the Game of Thrones? I have the first 7 or so of them I just haven't gotten around to reading them yet. I should check out avengers academy.

bread helps to settle the stomach, as does tea. I would suggest some tea with honey and milk, and some nice condensed milk Texas toast.

there are SEVEN of them? I just have 2 or 3!! What I've seen is good do far. The entire story may make a better comic than novel series.

So far the only thing I've found that works long term is making a decision that will lead to getting the stressor out of my life. Short term, just letting nature take its course and throw up, then don't eat for a while as I look for something to distract myself. :/

My wife recommends this PureCalm

My son's used it a couple times after his recent break up and my daughter has used it with some of her troubles. No idea how it works, but it's helped them get over the rough spots.

for the stomach ginger-caraway tea (or do you call that infusion??)

for the heartbreak only time may help
for a depression maybe only professional aid may help (in my experience)

I'll second the tea suggestions - doesn't have to be any particular blend, as long as it's actual tea made from tea it's surprisingly soothing (for stomach and heartbreak - and add a suggestion to find a shoulder to cry on.

Nekkid agony aunting... not sure that's helping.
