I'm pretty sure that the uploading files thing is covered in the FAQ, accessible from the kindle store on amazon. I don't remember it being terribly difficult. I have a regular kindle not a fire, but I can't imagine they made it much harder to do.Thanks lynora. I need to get a standard USB to mini-USB cord to help with the file transfer. But I will check the FAQ over at the Kindle site.
It didn't come with a charging cord? The older models do. And even if it's the one with the plug, the USB part should be detachable from that.
