Heya FaWltieS, how's life the universe and everthing. I hope job hunting and settling to new(ish) jobs are going well.

It sounds like a few of you have had some rough weather , stay safe.

Grumble away. We are all friends here. ~stabs Moorluck in the back~ Except for me and Moorluck. ~grins and runs~

Bleh! My computer is acting up. I must have picked something up. ~sighs~ Time for a wipe and reinstall on my software.

Aberzombie's Really Grim Fairy Tales:

The Liar Who Got What He Deserved, and Then Some

A young man who had once left his sister to the not-so-tender mercies of a fierce ogre was riding through the woods when he came upon a familiar clearing. It was the clearing where he'd abandoned his sister to the monster. Later, he'd lied to his parents and told them she'd run off.

As the young man reminisced, his horse was startled by a sudden noise and threw him off. When he fell, he pierced his leg on a shard of bone sticking from the ground. As the man lay there bleeding, out from the woods stepped the same ogre from years before.

"I remember you." Said the Ogre. "You let me eat your sister."

"Please, oh terrible lord," Said the young man," I've hurt my leg. It was stabbed by this bone. Can you help me? I promise I'll give you 10 goats from my farm."

"Not this time, little liar." said the ogre.

So the ogre took the boy back to his home and did terrible, ogre things to him for an entire month. Then, finally, the ogre said, "Now I'm going to eat what's left of you, little liar, but I wanted you to know something first. That bone that pierced your leg and allowed me to catch you? It belonged to your sister."

The young liar screamed as he died.

The End?

Stopped to steal coffee from the 'rents kitchen this morning. Dad was already awake and coffee already made :)

Grab a cup and sit in comfortable morning quiet with my dad and in walks my lil brother and his new girlfriend.

Dad grumbles about the house being Grand Central Station....

Dog hears us all in the kitchen and wakes up mom.

Ended up with a morning with everyone :D

Just kidding, I actually thought it was yesterday that wiki was going black. My temporal perception is all messed up.

Speaking of wikipedia, I was talking with my younger brother yesterday and he mentioned Human Centipede, but had been unaware it was a movie. I suggested he go to the wiki page and read the plot.

Later on, he let me know that he wanted to forget it, but would never be able to.

Mmmm...donuts

Scarab Sages

Hmmm, so much for not responding to a meeting notification meaning you don't have to go.

Twas an amazing film.

Shadow Lodge

Donuts? Mmm...donuts...

Scarab Sages

Speaking of meetings: Does anyone else have a problem with the growing exponentially in both size and scope?

Shadow Lodge

Sadly, no.

Wait, what were we talking about?

Hi, bye. Time for class. I hope it will get better as things go, but right now I find the professor rather intimidating, so I don't think being late would be a good idea. :)

Our secretary brings in dunkin donuts once a month to celebrate whoever has a birthday that month. Today was the day.

Kick him in the nards.

Shadow Lodge

I have to stay away from donuts. I'd eat too many of them.

It's a weak blockade. You can bypass it by hitting the ESC key as soon as you reach your destination as it will abort the javascript that switches to the SOPA protest page.

But I speak three languages, so I can venture onto other sites. After hours pole dancing to finance my education is paying off.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

My partner did not get the teaching job. Here's hoping that the new job for me comes through. It would be a lot more money, and better work.

Sorry to hear that, CH. I hope yours works out. I wish he'd have more luck with the photography. He's a great photographer.

Edit: Uh oh - hope the sight of a nekkid dwarf doesn't scare everyone away from the thread.

Plus I successfully fought off my boss' passive-aggressive attempt to have me limit my LA trip to 2 days and take the red eye home. (So I could come into work the next day with 4 hours sleep, since 'I could sleep on the flight home'. Bleh.)

The Human Centipede? I haven't seen it and don't really plan to. A colleague of mine at work saw it and found it pretty 'meh'.
