For kicks and giggles try grading the papers in the mindset of someone else. Say Mr. Fishy or Am Barbarian!!!

I’ve only been glancing at that thread from time to time, but it’s pretty funny from what I’ve seen. And it’s always funny to see how wound up some people get about this game.

Wow it doesn't seem that long ago that baby Mothman was born. I hope Mrs Mothman, Mothman jr and baby Mothman have a fun party.

Thanks man, it went well. We had my parents, my siblings and their partners and kids over – it was a good thing that the sun came out in the afternoon, we were able to open up the house and have the kids play outside, otherwise it would have been a bit crowded.

Abigail is painfully shy around ‘strangers’ (and yes, her grandparents and aunts and uncles, who probably see her once every month or two are considered strangers), but she was really good on Saturday, didn’t get too upset by the attention and even seemed to enjoy it at times. She also enjoyed her first taste of unhealthy food (birthday cake) ... so it is probably all down-hill from here in regards to her heating habits!

I guess it's inappropriate to offer BttH to a 1 year old, so instead....

HUZZAH!! for Mothbaby!

Well, she does still get BttH from time to time, though we're weaning her off ...

Thanks for the well-wishes man.

AWRIGHT! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL MOTHMAN!!!!

The funny thing is (and didn’t occur to me until reading the ‘Mothbaby’and baby Mothman well-wishes) it was a ‘Very Hungry Caterpillar’ themed party, so I guess she really was a Mothbaby.

I got so bored with Pong. what was the one with the tanks that came out a few years later? It was cool, you could blast your opponent off of one side of the screen and onto the other.
Combat! from Atari. That game was awesome.

That one was indeed cool.

I think this is the best thing I said all week.....

this lady on facebook; best friends' girl friend from 20 years ago.....she's also really really funny......

anyway she said "LOTR is the s*&#, yaddayadda" then something about Aragorn would wup Vader.

So, of course I has to get involved; some guy is telling me Starkiller would wup Conan because a lightsaber trumps Hyborian steel.....

so I says,

"Conan would make a prison shank lightsaber using a bar of soap and the tears of a Demon Queen he strangled. My god Crom laughs at your force!"

What a perfect day.

I spent hours with that game.

A lot of those old Atari games were cool. One of my favorites was Defender.

That's a classic. I was pretty good at the old Laser Blast as well. Twitch gameplay FTW!

Its my Friday night at work and I'm off to find a copy of Skyrim tomorrow morning. Wish me luck.

There is an iPad ap that turns your iPad into an Atari emulator.

It also has the classic arcade games, back from the day when you could play a game for 20c (25c for the Americans).

I’ve heard good things about that game, but I’ve found that somewhere along the track I just don’t really enjoy most computer games that much anymore, even the good ones.

Defender was cool, I liked Yar's Revenge. Rolled that game over so many times it was like a damn barrel!

And Adventure! of course. The first CRPG. :-D

Great, you can styart with my chemistry prof. Getting so tired of spending hours trying to understand the material for lab because he's such a disaster in lecture. Grr. Also, not a fan of late night discussions. Whatever it is, it can wait until I'm not falling over tired and frustrated at how much I didn't get done in one day. Hence Aaaaaargh!

On the bright side, over Thanksgiving break I got the house cleaned, put up the Christmas decorations, of course cooked thanksgiving dinner, got some video game time for the first time since the semester started and at least got a start on the sadistic amount of homework assigned by teachers who seem to think that the only thing we have to do on days off is more schoolwork. Now I just need a vacation from vacation...

Oh, and gaming with the kidlet. Still slow going. It's difficult to get through talking parts because he gets so nervous about doing it right that he starts stuttering really bad, and of course you can't say anything about the stutter because that makes him more self-conscious and it just gets worse. Although it did get a bit better when I made him laugh because of the funny vocal quirks of the NPCs.

And now I should actually go to sleep so I'm not overtired tomorrow. For whatever I missed over the last few days, sorry, but that is way too much to go back and read. :)

I got the cold with a bit of fever, so I am at home in bed.
Ironically I m pretty sure I got it from the supervisor of the project I work at the moment, he was ill but came to work for a few hours every day, by friday not all of the project members had started coughing, sneezing and feeling ill

Hi Aeglos. Sorry you are feeling unwell. Rest, read, surf the Interwebs, and get better!

Careful with naming names TOZ. Like in magic, speaking names in a public thread has the power to summon unwanted beings to your location. We have found that out before to our dismay ....

Ah well, off to work ...

Not terribly worried about it. I know how to deal with my own. :)

One of the first video games I ever owned. The VERY first was Battlefield.

One of my favorite Atari games was Star Raiders. It had a separate controller for punching in coordinates and everything! It was AWESOME!

Never been very big into computer games. Keyboard and mouse are just too complicated compared to console controllers. Visual novels have been the only real exception.
