Lately however I've been getting a bit annoyed with the match-maker, since I usually drop as a pair with my friend - thus it only puts us against teams and therefore usually larger teams. Combine this with me being a mediocre player, playing lights/mediums that aren't the meta, or trying to grind up catapults - I've been losing alot.... which is super frustrating, especially since the rewards are terrible for losing compared to winning.
I almost never play, but I do have an account. Yes, the matchmaker is seriously FUBARed.

Oh man, that's really really difficult. How do you deal?Yeah, I have serious (like can put me in the hospital serious) allergies to fish and wheat. And a bunch of metal sensitivities. So, you know, I'm only allergic to the stuff that's hard to avoid. The wheat allergy developed within the last year, so I'm still adjusting to all the stuff I can't ever have again. And then there's the list of things I'm not supposed to have because of my ear condition, but I occasionally cheat on anyways. Like alcohol (I can at least still have wine and cider) and caffeine. Chocolate is now a once every few months thing for me, and coffee or tea is like maybe twice a year. I'm not supposed to have salt either, but that's just crazy talk.So much talk of whiskey....one of those things that I really really miss. :(
Allergies suck.
Rum is the only thing I have an allergy to, which is good and bad.

Well, mostly I don't have a choice. I try to just focus on the things I like that I can still have. And not as much eating out. It's just not safe what with the risk of cross contamination and all. The caffeine withdrawal was hard, but it was a choice between giving up caffeine or letting my ear disease progress to the point where they have to do an operation that permanently destroys my hearing. Even I don't like coffee that much. :)
But sometimes I do get bummed out when I can't have something that I really miss. Like whiskey, donuts, or Korean fried chicken. *shrug* But what can I do? I break out in hives if I even touch something that touched something with wheat in it. So I just gotta deal.

My weird food allergy is that certain fresh fruits make my mouth swell up and itch. Apples, pears, and all varieties of stone fruit. But if you cook them, the heat denatures the sugars and I have no problem at all.
No one wants to believe me when I say, "No, I can't eat that apple; I am allergic. Ooh! Can I have a piece of that apple pie? I love apple pie."
It's a real thing, though (called oral allergy syndrome) and I am not alone!

Plane ticket reserved. Meh. I wish I did it when I checked it for the first time, when it costed 32 instead of now when it costed 44 (values rounded up).
Now I need to consider options between taking baggage, or sending it as through a courier to Poland. It might be cheaper that way.
Sending it as a through carrier is also easier for it to get lost. I would be on the fence about either option. I know just how badly luggage can be handled either way.
If it were winter, I would suggest you wear all of the clothes and show up to the airport that way.

I'm with Lynora. I dislike very much handshaking - which drives me bonkers at church, where everyone and their grandmother wants to shake your hand for no reason other than it's the "acceptable form of friendly address" or something - but can be pretty open with hugs with very close friends.

Welcome back Janus. I sympathize very much with adjusting to medication. It took me a few days to adapt to the side-effects of the blood-pressure meds I had to start taking at the beginning of the summer.
So far, most of the adjusting has been to dosage regularity. They're still trying to figure out how to do a dosage that'll last all night without risking poisoning me or insanity due to sleep deprivation.
Good news on the teaching job front. Regardless of the school's stupidity, I have a job in January. I may start as a long-term substitute teacher and transfer to certified teacher later in the semester. The long-term subs make the same as starting teachers, so I'm significantly less worried. The school is hurting for math teachers (only 5 teachers for a 5A sized school). The administration would take me on as a long-term sub this fall, but I know my limits. Teaching full-time and finishing school full-time would be impossible.
Congratulations on the job! I hope it is massively long-term. And, I hope that this is the beginning of a long and distinguished career.
Also, according to my high-school English teacher, Jack Daniels is the alcohol of choice for professional teachers.
And I am trying to take care of myself. Easier when all pistons are firing at the same time.

That is a sucky situation. If they ask, explain to them that it's pesticides. It doesn't matter if it's true; most people will accept it and not question it. After all, if you're allergic to pesticides, then foods that have been cleaned and made into pies won't be dangerous ;)

Pages 3-8: fill out detailed forms that are basically a duplicate of your resume & contact information, just in different boxes. Sometimes a page of prior residences is included.
Pages 9-15: detailed work history, usually for the past five to ten years, each job on a separate page. I've worked a lot of jobs, so this usually takes a couple hours.
Pages 16-22: 30 to 60 "what would you do if X happened" of "how would you rate X quality on a scale" questions
Pages 23-30: government statistical information and consent forms

yesterday evening I was at a Neil Young Concert in Mainz with my cousin.
damn, that was a great evening,
the show was on an old mole in the River Rhein, water flowing on both sides, the weather was forecast with heavy thunderstorms and hale but not one drop of rain during the show
he played 2 and a half hour, starting with a 30 minutes improv of "down by the river" ( very fitting)
a great show! a bit light on classics but the newer songs delivered live
and I had too much beer
and: Free T-Shirt !!!
Morning.

Every time in my life that I have filled out a crazy application like that, it never amounted to anything. The job I have now I got by sending my résumé and then interviewing. I'm not sure why that is. Maybe, the more Byzantine the application, the more Byzantine the HR bureaucracy of the company.
