Scarab Sages

Nekkid walking dead!!!

Scarab Sages

After the show, I tried to watch my DVR'd episod of the Green Lantern animated series only to be shown some damn How to Train Your Dragon spinoff. WTF?!?

Scarab Sages

Aaaarrrggghhhhh!!!!!

Scarab Sages

My wife knows someone in this lane is going to turn in front of her, yet she still gets into it!

Scarab Sages

We now pause for station identification.

Scarab Sages

Whoa! Dude here at work was walking his dog on the beach over the weekend and dropped dead of a heart attack. I knew of him, but didn't really know him. Just goes to show - you never know....

Scarab Sages

What a sucky way to start the work week.

Scarab Sages

At least I can take comfort in coffee.

Scarab Sages

And Grandma's Mini Sandwich Cremes (Vanilla)

Scarab Sages

All right my funky little widdershins! Gotta go get some stuff done.

Awww man, sorry Aberzombie. :(

So much for my optimism....

Pointless Optimism:
At least you have lots of colleagues that are in rude health.

Hope he gets well soon. Rough thing to have to go through. My sister had similar issues a couple of months ago.

The worst part is that he and his sister both work for me and they lost their other sister to cancer earlier this year. This week has had both of them really upset and it isn't exactly the kind of situation where you can say, "Hey, don't worry it will all work out".

:-/

There are two kinds of Heart Attacks - Those that you live through and those that you don't. I am just glad that it was the first kind and not the second. Best wishes to them.

You too? I was not happy about missing both Green Latern and Young Justice.

Both Green Latern and Young Justice have been put on hold until January 2013 for some reason. That is why we did nto see those episodes.

Off to Dark Heresy session. Time to kill some enemies of The Emperor!

Last time we play on Monday, tough, as we intend to move sessions to Friday so the host's husband will be able to play with us. Mondays are usually hard on him at work so when he returns he is too tired to play.

Can you believe it? Green Lantern I can live without, but I want my Young Justice! Sebastian's gonna be ticked off when he hears about this.

Silver Crusade

Morning, all. What did I miss?

iTunes has both episodes available that should have been shown this weekend. Past that, I am upset that YJ and GL both got screwed up by Catroon Network. I wonder what happened?

feeling a bit better today but still not perfect.

Morning.

My morning hasn't been as bad as some. Condolences and best wishes.

Anyone else feeling barely awake at work today?

Silver Crusade

Naturally, of the 5 jobs I have applied for in the past 2 weeks, the first one to contact me is the one that was the least interesting.

Well, let's see what they have to say.

I'm never fully awake in the morning until about 10 or 11. And then only if I get caffeine. *double-checks to make sure there is still soda left... whew. Three half-full bottles. Will need to buy more tonight/tomorrow though...*

All that soda is rotting your guts!

Woot! I haz interwebz back! :)

Lost cable for the weekend thanks to the cable tech accidentally turning ours off when they hooked up the neighbors. Got the good but perpetually cranky tech here to fix it today and he hooked it back up and put a label on it so they shouldn't do it again. Apparently he does a lot of work with apartments and is perpetually annoyed because of the lack of labels that means no one ever knows which wire goes where.

On review, it's an analyst job with minimal client contact. My level of interest is increasing.

Good luck! I hope that whether it's this or something else that you find a job you don't hate soon. :)

My God, that's so annoying. All it takes is a few seconds to label a wire to save someone else freakin' hours of trouble! He has good reason to be cranky.

Agh I know the stress of job hunting - doing it myself. Tons of submissions, few calls back, minimal interviews, no offers. Hope you get it!

Definitely. And he knows that he'll be back soon depending on which neighbor got unplugged since nothing was labeled and every time they connect one another one gets disconnected. At least until all of them get labeled so they know which apartment is the one that doesn't have their service. So much fun.

He fixed the problem that's been slowing down our internet too. We've had them out three times in the last year to deal with this problem. Took this guy ten minutes to figure it out. :)

Well, this job has to impress me a bit for me to take it. It's in Manhattan, and I'm going to need at least another $400-$500 (net) per month to make it worth the commute. But maybe they will indeed pay that well.

Good luck with your job search, CH!

Sorry to hear about your co-worker, Aberzombie, and your employees, Wolfthulhu.

Scarab Sages

Thanks. Sadly, I didn't know the dude all that well, but from what I understand he was a pretty decent sort. Not too far away from retirement either.

Scarab Sages

That reminds me....I've got to get a pre-order together that includes a hardcopy of Doom Comes to Dustpawn.

Is it sad that I'll be starting only Chapter Two of Kingmaker next week Thursday, but I'm already trying to decide which of two campaigns - either a Winter-based plotline or a Castlevania+La-Mulana style Megadungeon - I'll be running once it's done?

Anyone know a cure for getting "Lolly Lolly Lolly Get Your Adverbs Here" out of your head?
