Finished super-long-program-from-hell. Now to see if it runs. *whimper*

(They never run the first time....if I'm super lucky I can ever get it to run at all....sadly I don't get bonus points for finding new ways to break visual studio.)

....or the same way to make it not work that I thought I had finally fixed. >.<

I agree with your buddy. Go for it.

You never know what is going to happen with that other person. It's not a good idea to second-guess it. That other person could, in the interim, land some other job, and then you will be kicking yourself for not throwing your name in.

Do it, if for no other reason than for the interview experience.

+1

I agree with this too.

G'morning, FAWTLies!

Why yes this is quite relevant to my interests.

Very quite relevant.

The cuteness it burns us My Precious it burns us.

So maybe deciding to put all of the NPCs for Council of Thieves into a database is not the best idea I've ever had.

Passes hand and old Burzum CD across the super soaker turning it to unholy water.

Ugh. Power was out for 4 hours this morning at work. For the mortals, it was fun time. For us facilities godlings, it was a pain in the ass.

Giving cryptic answers to literal-minded people is mean. But also quite funny.

Returned to home after 1st session of WH 40k Dark Heresy... My poor feral worlder assassin of Moritat sect with glorious Felowship of 19 was selected to be team leader of the inquisitorial acolytes' cell. Our Inquisitor is a real joker. Ok, I am the most experienced member of the party as I served as acolyte for half year more than the (just recruite) rest... Oh, the joy of leadership over a bunch of misguided souls.

Now I am patching up the LOTRO client up to the newest version.

Patching takes moe time than installing basic game, of course. Probably even longer than downlading installation files in the first place.

It would be nice if there was another progress bar showing absolute percentage of updates done instead of one progress bar showing level of progress of current update being installed.

Varg stabs your super soaker. Then burns it down.

I'm not feeling the love here.

It's sad that so many people at work shy away from the question "Does someone need a hug?".

Maybe they are lizard-people? Reptiles are biased against physical contact.

Or maybe you are not sexy enough for them.

Or maybe they think they are not sexy enough for you.

Mmmmmm..., fries and ketchup.

Personally I would go with BBQ sauce... Mmmhhhmmm. BBQ sauce... Maybe I should buy myself some while I still have some money.

LOTRO Patching continues. Already passed the downloading time, not to mention installation time. Ah, the joy of games with lot of updates.

Been quit this monday. Time for an evening rampage. Jeff-Zilla by night. I like the sound of that.

RRRRRROOOOOOOAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

but you would eat their brain. My caress on the other would freeze them to the bone. Care for a handshake?

It turned on! It turned on! Now I only have to set the settings so it will be playable. Oh, and change monitor for something I could see anything on.

Nooooooo!

I set everything to lowest possible and the game is still unplayable... So no LOTRO for me until I get some better computer. I.e. not anytime soon.

Perhaps you're not being assertive enough? Say it with more force.

Interesting there's a new 50 pence piece that explains the off-side rule visually? Why?

Anyway a hopefully fine tuesday to everyone.

*DSX hands out tea & shortbread*

EDIT: Change that to tea & cake. Since cake is non-taxed (VAT) because it is a necessity (like tea), whilst biscuits are a luxury thus taxed.

Well, Wojciech's computer problems took a turn for the worse when the software he had been trying to load caused his computer to achieve sentience and begin planning the mass extinction of the human race. Meanwhile, Gregg attempt to put out a fire with a super soaker backfired when he forgot the water gun had been filled with tequila. And, across town, Max's trip to Philadelphia to visit with Scott took a turn for the bizzare when....No, wait! That's my soap opera.

Scarab Sages

And, finally, GOOD MORNING FAWTLY Folk!!!! Happy Tuesday! It's gloomy in here in Philadelphia, but I hope the sun is shinning down on the rest of you!

Scarab Sages

Wife is angry with me this morning. As we were getting ready to leave, Charlie was crying a bit so she gave him his bowl of Cheerios. Then he got hold of his pacifier, which she had left on the coffee table. I took the pacifier away and he spilled his cheerios, which just pissed him off. So he was crying the whole way out the door and into the car. He calmed down pretty quick though.

While she was gone I never had these problems in the morning.

Scarab Sages

Watch 666 Park Avenue last night. Creepy, but it definitely has potential....

The new hire refused to tell me his middle name, which begins with an "n". Rather than sit there guessing, I gave him one.

I then announced to the entire office that his middle name is Nancy.

Scarab Sages

One of the guys I used to work with in the air group is actually named Terry, but I always called him Terrance. My current boss heard me calling him that, and does the same.

Scarab Sages

I....I can't....can't think of more stuff to type!!!

Scarab Sages

Something must be wrong with me.

Scarab Sages

Besides the obvious, I mean.
