(My brother's a chef, if I haven't said so, he tries weird stuff on friends and family sometimes.)

My brother-in-law is a pastry chef. He's always trying out new recipes on her (like pecan turtle brownies, stuff like that). She can't possibly keep up, so she takes everything to work with her. She's the most popular nurse at Mayo.

Naked nursing? When did that creepy old guy who owns playboy infiltrate this thread?

I know the area well. There are no highways there for at least an hour in any direction. It gives new meaning to isolated.

The atmospheric battle rages on. Sun, clouds, sun, clouds, sun....

I'm still rooting for the overcast, though, no matter how much the odds may be against me.

Why do I sometimes second guess what I know? It drives me crazy, especially when it's while I'm on the phone with a customer.

Having a dilemma today. Should I go ahead and sentence my last gnome mini from "Heroes & Monsters" to the microwave like his brethren before him? Or should I keep him to ensure a complete set?

I'd recommend keeping him, despite your frothing racism ;) A complete set is going to be worth more than a partial, I think.

Silver Crusade

Make the gnome clean up after the other minis.

Hey, zombie... when you get back in town, let me know. I think it's time for a meet-up (preferably with some delicious brews). Maybe we can plan something with those up in that OTHER city, too.

What other city?

Y'know, the one on the other side of Joisey.

Hold on to my hand
Never let go
Never let go

We were just two kids acting tough
Then we grew up
Me, not so much

All the other guys that you've seen
are nothing compared to me

Because my love is strong
And my heart is weak
After all

When we first met
We spoke so brief
When you sang a sonnet
I hummed sweet relief

Do you recall that night we took the L
Out into Bushwick
It was colder than hell

So maybe there
We should have stopped
Cause I'm left here feeling like a cop

Because my love is strong
And my heart is weak
After all

To the other side
of the state's return
I met a young girl
Well I couldn't manage her

Because I think of you
In every girl i meet
It's no relief
That sounds to me just as sweet

So maybe I'm the fool for feeling used
By the way we kissed that night i though you knew

Because my love is strong
And my heart is weak
After all

descends into irrelevancy

Someone left a bag of these Vanilla Tootsie Rolls out in our breakroom for people to snack on. They're awful, and yet I can't seem to stop myself from taking one every time I walk past the breakroom...

O yeah the husband just needs to get approval from his supervisor on the fall trip, and if that happens I'll be in the big apple and philly this fall. We'll know for sure come the end of July.

I like a vanilla tootsie roll. Key word being "a". By the time I get to a second one, they are gross.

They are from Philly. So if Philly is your starting point, and you cross Jersey, you wind up in... (*waits for Freehold*)

It's too hot, too humid, and it's the month most gnomes are born.

I just had to do a double take at this alias, we have had a well groomed silver tongued demon named Nurn that has appeared in every campaign I've run for the last 10 years or so.

O.o

Hah! This Nurn's a slaad, he was from the Bastion of Broken Souls adventure originally, I brought him back for Savage Tide.

That's the one he was inspired by. I tweaked him a little since our campaign kinda blurs the distinction between Hell/Abyss/Other evil realm.

He would always end his pitch with "But hey, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know..."

In my home games it works like this, if it's in the service of some sort of power, it's called a demon, if it's a freelancer working for its own agenda it's called a devil. The different types (the official monster type) may tend one way or another, but may fit either of my definitions.

Nice. I may borrow that if I have him show up in a helpful capacity again. He was an antagonist in Savage Tide; the Cathezar was going to show back up too, as a potential ally, but the game fell apart before we got that far sadly.

It tends to keep players guessing, and he has been a boon to some groups. As long as you remember, there's always a price. ;)

Yeeesssssss.
