I am in mourning too. Buck Compton passed today. God speed, O hero.

I, on the other hand is quite happy. Sweden-Croatia 3-1. And Zlatan Ibrahimovic for once played as well in an international game as he does at club level.

Ah it tis a sad day two lose such esteemed gentlemen in one day both heros in their own rights but equally valued memebers of society.

The Monkee. No, not Patrick Curtin, he just posted something.

Not too many left, I was bummed to hear Richard Winters passed a year ago.

A gentleman is a gentleman regardless. I hold doors open for men as well as women.

Likewise, I think of it as common courtesy.

I know, very sad. I listened to ‘I’m A Believer’ in tribute this morning.

Being courteous/chivalrous isn't gender-specific. (Or as a friend puts it, "Not all warriors are called 'Sir.'") I often hold the door open for people. :)

I do the same - if you are elderly or pregnant or have children I give up my seat on public transport, if you aren't far behind me I hold the door.

Goddamn UPS! Gimme my f@+$ing package you bastards!

I'd probably have the damn thing if it was FedEx.

Apparently that anti-capitalist goblin still continues to thwart your plans. It may be time to turn him to the undead side.

So my old bruiser of a truck is gone. Drove on down the road to carry some other family where they may go with it. Money will go in the Texas moving fund tomorrow... kinda sad to see it go though, it was a faithful little tank.

The Exchange

Let's see if the Houston Zoo works out. I know a lot depends on if they can wait until June, let's keep fingers crossed.

I attempt to pull the chair out for the ladies at the dinner table. But I tend to get dirty looks as my timing is off. I'm told I should be doing it to pull the chair away from the table so they can be seated ... but I end up pulling the chair away when they're in the process of seating themselves.

I need to synchronize better.

I don't have to be at work until 6pm tomorrow. I'm getting my stuff ready to move in to my new place Friday. Finally have my own space for the first time since I was arrested more than a decade ago. No live in girlfriend, no roomies, nada.

Awesome! Glad to hear some positive stuff is working out for you. May it continue!

Me, I gotta date with a couple dozen muffins, some croissant dough and some dougnuts waiting to be made in an old haunted farmhouse at 3am. Oh joy. Anyone got a handy Protection from poltergeist spell readied? I kid. Well, maybe not totally. Anyhoo, running late, GL on the move HD!

Hey! That's my job! Kali ma!

Scarab Sages

Moorluck! If you want job connections in Houston, I can talk to my younger brother. He's a bank manager and always claims he can get me a job with one of his business customers. Let me know.

Scarab Sages

Also, morning FAWTLY Folk. Charlie's been up for awhile now and I've been watching him play in his room. Hope everyone has a good day today.

Bakings done, that's good. Snow turned to rain: even better. One hour left of work ... Schweet!

Mmmmm......baked goods.

Even with the thing with the zoo I'm not one to put all my eggs in one basket, so I'll take you up on that offer for me and the wife.

Thanks Zombie! :D

Sure thing. He apparently meets lots of business folk through his bank and is always telling me about some of them. Just let me know what kind of businesses and I'll ask him if he knows anyone hiring.

Scarab Sages

According to package tracking, my latest shipment from Paizo took 2 days to get from Washington State to New Jersey. Yesterday was day 5 since it got to Jersey, and still no sign of it.

That's why I really wish Paizo offered shipment via FedEx - my experience with both the post office and UPS is that they both suck ass.

Sympathies. Tweeked mine on Sunday and just getting past it. Heat and ibuprofen. Hope you heal fast!

Sovereign Court

Yeah, back pain can be a real bear. :( I prescribe hot showers with the massage stream turned on and Aleve to myself when it gets bad.

I plan to see it too. It's Pixar, so I know it's going to be good.

What I'm afraid of is the eventual Dreamworks kinda knockoff featuring more flatulence, easy pop-culture jokes, and less-than-subtle innuendo.
