Same here. It's bad when I find a "new cool site" and it eats up all my free time beyond my usual daily surfing routes where I get "THE STARE" from her. I do my best to not cross the 38th parallel. :P

I leave it up, but usually ignore it because Justin is there... I mean because nothing much is going on.
Falsehood! The chat room is an epicenter of enlightenment and happygoodfun. Even if Justin is there ...
Are you sure you don't mean Karel? ;)
No, when Karelzarath is there, the chat room is an epicenter of links not meant to be viewed by mortal eyes.

They do. Under edit profile or somewheres.

If I did that, I'd draw more attention to people wanting to stalk me with the intent to cause malfeasance. :P

I'm sure it doesn't help that a link to my FB profile is directly linked from my profile here ... c'est la vie.

I followed Dune fine, but I think I was more in the mindset of watching a David Lynch movie, rather than an adaptation of the book (since I hadn't read it at all before the movie). If you've watched any other David Lynch movies or the first season of Twin Peaks, you know you have to pay close attention to all the movie's cues.

Although as a plus to Lynch's version, it did have Sir Patrick Stewart as Gurney Halleck.

I think being around Jar Jar too much caused her to sign on to "Where the Heart Is".

I was thinking more like "Closer". ;-)

I know our situations our different, but I had a similar feeling last year. It was difficult, but I stepped outside my comfort zone, and I'm extremely glad I did. I really hope your experience is the same.

Heck, going back to school for the first time in 20 years put me outside my comfort zone. In my English class, there's a gal who's doing it for high school credit. I'm old enough to be her dad. Oof.

welcome back to the land of the students. Get prepared for a culture shock. I challenge you to find someone who actually has a view on things while you are there.

Seriously. Admittedly, I was 16 when I saw it. :)

The book bored me to tears, so I never got past the first 50 pages, but I know people who read the books reviled the movie.

...and don't forget the song based off of Dune by the best British metal band EVAH!

Never heard that one. sigh

Today is my last day at Wells Fargo. The team took me out to lunch today, so that was nice. I'm going to miss this place. :(

I worked for them years ago - back during the mortgage boom in 03 or 04. I'm trying to decide whether I have a positive or negative view of them from that. Indifferent I guess. But now you all know a little bit more about me.

See, we also learn new things about Taig.

You know they were stressed because you kept hitting random people with a ruler, right?
