I have a fan? And a huge one, at that?? How the carp did that happen?

Ever since I've been watching lucha libre. Luchadores put those WWE hulks to shame. Your match in 2006 with Padre Azul was epic!
They make porn of that?

It's a Tijuana League, so there may be donkeys involved. At PPVs.

Ahh, yes. That was me. A great match as I recall. I've been meaning to get back to the ring, but somehow just can't find the time.

I heard Juventud Guerrera has been dissing you saying that you don't have the cojones to take him on. Will you ever take him up on the offer? Personally, I think he's overrated.

I thought TOZ was in Houston.

Man, I really hope that CH relocates further South or North. I have sounded off on LA before...?

When they happen outside my sleep period, I can usually be stoic about it. Part of the job and all that.

Plus when I'm on shift I don't have to go sit in the bunker sucking up the heat.

Here's to hoping they get us out of here this year. And give me more than a year at home. Five deployments is enough to wear anybody down. I'm not looking forward to the sixth in Afghanistan.

Without wishing to get into politics AT ALL, I did hear that the US was planning to withdraw 10,000 troops by the end of the year. Here’s hoping you’re amongst them man. That's too long a time for a person to be there.

Well...A little bittersweet truth be told. Last night was the last game for the Manhattan Pathfinder game before our GM moved out to California, forever. This was a group that got together on the Paizo.com messageboards and ended up meeting IRL, partially because me and baronaremhasvaun(sp) were adamant about getting a gaming group together. He is the last of the original group left besides the good baron and Torktheorc, our host. This isn't to say the group is dying, we've got two other good people and a host of others who have made it for one shots or been regular parts of the group over the years(although many of the latter moved as well). It's almost 3 years to the day that the group originally got together, and with the future of it all up in the air, it makes me a bit maudlin. I wish nothing but the best for our DM, and I hope to be able to meet up with him should the wife and I go out to California. And of course, there's Otakon this weekend, which I am both hyper and intimdiated by since I'll be driving my friend's van full of stuff out there, so I've been a bit all over the emotional spectrum of late.

My old Thursday Night Gaming Group had a memorable debate/argument about this a few years ago.

Blerg, Gary says. Allow me to assist. It is from the Indo-Europoean Blaergen which means "to enlarge." Clearly he is indicating that the subject of evil is too big to fit into a subforum. Further, he may be expressing anxiety that such an addition would cause too large an influx of posts, stressing the servers. Blerg, indeed.

This PIE moment was brought to you by all those dead guys that brought most of us language. (No, not that kind of PIE, but the other kind.)

Here's a new way of dealing with the threads. Flood them with definite Yes/No answers (preferably the wrong ones) and do not engage in philosophical debate.

The loss of a good member of a gaming group is always a source of mournful lamentation. One of my own is moving away this week as well.

Yeah, that sounds bittersweet. Changes in gaming groups are always hard, I think, and having good people move away is especially hard. I hope you have opportunities to meet up with your absent members, and that the continuing group thrives.

I'm in a bit of an opposite conundrum right now. We've added two new guys to our gaming group recently. I like them both, but they're a bit hammy, and finding the space to contribute to the roleplay without feeling like I'm interfering with their dramatic moments has been more of a challenge than I expected. And I think it's even more difficult for the other female player at the table, who's more tentative as a roleplayer than I am to begin with. Fortunately, we've got a DM who's really good about tailoring combat challenges to spotlight particular character abilities, and letting us shine in that way. So there's been plenty of fun, in spite of the slow start for me on the RP front. :)
