I am not sure if squee is the right sound when related to minityughs... More like a sound of farting happiness would be in order...

There might be more squee-worthy thingie during the week... No promises, though.

make her a loli succubus fey? Lilith over morrigan? Enjoys flirting and teasing, but is more interested in elaborate sweets and desserts than anything carnal? More evil specimens seduce their prey- uptight, sexually repressed individuals- then loudly airing their dirty laundry and hidden fantasies in public until they literally die of embarrassment or give in to desire?

Last time I was at a Tesco, I found a plastic two litre of cider for, like, 2 or 3 pounds.

Naturally, I refused to touch it.

You gotta lift with your knees, not your back. Although, honestly, two or three pounds isn't very hard to lift, we recommend anabolic steroids to help get in shape, or deer urine.

Ah, ripping CDs. Makes me feel young again. Haven't done this in years.

Do people still buy CDs? I just stream my music. I'm only ripping CDs now because my new Spanish language kit came with a bunch of them, and I haven't owned a CD player since before I was a teenager. What I need is digital files on my phone.

I still buy CDs. I've got a portable player the I listen to while I'm out doing things.

I have a CD player that can also play cassettes! I have it since I was 11 years old and it's in perfect state. I mostly use it to listen to the radio.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

wow cassettes my feelings towards them are like how I felt about 8-tracks 20 years ago.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I still have some cassettes that belonged to my mother and I couldn't get rid of them. Many of them are dance music from the 80s, which my mother loved.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

The sad thing about cassettes is the more you listen to them the less time they will last. Its like the only have so many charges before that's it.

I'm still waiting for the little light cubes from Men in black myself.

Blarg. I fell asleep yesterday late afternoon/early evening. Slept through the evening and both boys' night-night. Woke up, went to bed, and slept through the night. Now, after all that good rest: I'm so ready to go back to sleep.

Back from chaperoning trip #2! No writeup this time, but one bit of amusement:

The last time I chaperoned the Great America trip (two years ago), I caught sight of security arresting one of our students and I quickly intervened on his behalf. (He'd received a counterfeit $10 as change at one of the game stands in the park, then the bill was identified as counterfeit at another stand. I know because he was in my group and showed me his cash before we went in, and it was all $20s.)
So I got to see the ins and outs of security at Great America.

This trip I got to see the ins and outs of the medical station, as I was the first chaperone on the scene when one of the kids got a massive bloody nose. (I can't take credit for it this time, as Impus Minor was the one who spotted the hurt kid, he came sprinting to the chaperone station, and absolutely naturally yelled, "Dad! There's a hurt kid! We need a chaperone! Come quick!". So it's hardly surprising I was first on scene.)

I was joking with the other chaperones that next year I'm sure to end up in Great America's waste management system for some reason or other.

NobodysHome, touring the bowels of Great America since 2015...

He's a stay-at-home dad. My guess is, sleep. I know the feeling. Who knew that helping provide Security for a University graduation could be so exhausting. Friday night I got off work at 12 and got home at 1 AM. I had to be up at 4:30 to begin getting ready, so trying to sleep for three hours seemed to be a lost cause. I got back home at 3 PM, slept for 5 hours, ate dinner, and slept for another 8. Now, my sleep cycle is more-or-less back to normal. Well, at least I got overtime pay out of it. :)

Today was: wake, go to church (while sleepy), go to other church (also while sleepy), go to eat (still sleepy), go to sleep, get boys playing outside* (while sleepy), do chores (while sleepy) and check the forums (still sleepy).

Oh! I played a bit of FFT, though!

It was on my iPad. Weirdly, I'm not a fan of the touch-screen controls as much as I should be - they're a little too finicky and unprecise for my tastes, though it's not nearly as awkward as I was remembering from my last time playing it.

Rosita the Riveter wrote:

Less shenanigans (in fact many of your adventures and trips and such are great; and I love your gaming posts - you've got some awesome world-building!), and more anything alcohol-related in general - unless it's rejecting the stuff, I tend skip all such posts by all people: not only does the smell tend to make me dizzy and nauseous, I've lost too many loved ones to that nonsense to ever have a positive emotional reaction to it (it's the same reason I'm not fond of Cayden Cailean - never had, and never will have a PC who worships him, even though I don't have anything against the rest of his portfolio, and he's one of the many promoted deities in my Kingmaker game). I recognize that such a staunch rejection of said things makes me an exceptional minority**.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(Similarly, I mostly - though not exclusively - avoid political topics around the forums. I'm conservative enough that most people would probably not like me very much, as I've found that, for the most part, a lot of assumptions about my personal attitudes, actions, life, nature, and so on tends to come with such a label. It seems that it's a strange thing to genuinely like and admire people you have a strong disagreement with on a topic? I dunno, but that seems to be a thing.)

That said, having a negative emotional reaction toward a topic/<substance that I've watched too many abuse to bad ends> is not the same thing as having a negative emotional reaction toward a given person, however! :D

(Also, as an aside, a lot of times I find that if I favorite a lot of things at once, I'll go faster than the boards can keep up - I've found several of your old posts - and others'! - that were skipped on accident because of that. I usually try to correct it, but I don't wait around too long - if the forum decides that it wants to take more than a minute or two, I'll navigate away from the page and, on FaWtL, that's sometimes the same as having it lost/forgotten forever.)

* Speaking of, I totally need to get those kids some juice boxes. It's pretty hot.
** My wife and I are that way, even in excess of most of our family (save, I think, my oldest sister and my parents). Weirdly, some of our extended family seem to think I'm being judgmental of them, personally, when I reject offerings of alcohol - a notion that has proven impossible to dispel. For the record, though, while I am always concerned with the well-being of any who choose to partake,
so long as one does so responsibly, I've no problem with said imbibing.
