It sucks having a cold when its 30°C outside

Another thing that sucks at those temperatures is working outdoors... I had to toss my underwear when I got home, because the elastic band in the waist had bloody melted!

Anyone ever had that happen to them? I was quite... surprised when I discovered it.

urgh, sounds bad

is it as hot in sweden as it is here?
what do you do for a living?

They've started already? That's gotta be rough on the players today.

The Sweden v Finlan game isn't until 19:30, so plenty of time to get things done yet.

the girls started (Germany 2 Netherlands 0 at the moment) the boys start at 18:30 and they play in aserb... don#t know the weather there

MTV sucks. The MTV Movie Awards are farcical and suck even more.

But, they give us the newest Fright Night Trailer with more on David Tennant as Peter Vincent. And for that, I can forgive them (this once).

And here I was just going to ignore that this film was even going to be made and here you they had to do this. Whats next a remake of Lost Boys
Dude, they've already put out a couple of cheesy sequels. Not all remakes are awful, although the vast majority are.

Yes I know, 20 years too late they make crappy assed sequels.

That's the line-man who declared the wembley-goal a goal, which it was not, no sir, not over the line, no goal!!!!!

There's even a bronze statue of him, unveiled by Geoff Hurst

allegedly his last words before he passed away where "i'm still sure it was over the line" - which it was not

really not

Man, these pills are really weird. The anti depressants are already starting to work. After a night's rest I wake up as a blank slate emotionally speaking. I don't really start feeling anything until a few hours later, but when I do I feel much better than I have in a while.

It's starting to taper off now, though, and I can feel myself getting more frustrated with each passing minute.

Anyone else ever had experiences like that?

Yes. I took antidepressants from the time I was 12 until just over a year ago--almost 11 years. They made me feel like s%&@, a complete zombie. Now I'm finding out that they probably did some permanent damage to my nervous system. Antidepressants (especially SSRIs) are bad f@$$ing news.

Still spotty posting from the public library. Time Warner is giving me the run-around with internet service, first trying to tell me that I already had service, then trying to tell me that my apartment didn't exist, and then telling me that there was an unspecified error setting up my account. Apparently, they're going to call sometime during the next week (?). Wonderful.

And I might have to leave Paizocon up to two days early (paying through the nose for new plane tickets, I might add), as my new boss can't f%#%ing make up his mind when he wants to train me. He's giving me quite the run-around, too. It's like pulling teeth getting information from the guy--he still hasn't told me what I'm getting paid or what days of the week I'll be working, and it took days of pestering to get him to even tell me my hours, or whether I even had the job.

Now, I will admit, this has not worked for me. But that might be because I always did the dance in the interview.

According to legendary Swedish sports-reporter Bo Hansson, who watched the game from roughly speaking the corner flag, the ball did in fact bounce off the bar in a curling trajectory, so while it didn't land inside the goal (regardless of what the English claim), it was a proper goal.

I was fluffing for one and a half hours straight. Not much, as I'm obviously still conscious (and my legs feel fine). Porn wasn't as bad as I expected. Apparently I'm nowhere near as bad a fluffer as I thought (I was definitely fluffing more than other guys). Chalk one up for low expectations losing!
Random, stray thought....I skipped porn to go to a sci-fi convention. I have never regretted that choice. Mind you, that was 17 years ago so the whole thing is a bit vague. But I definitely had very low expectations.

You don't regret it? Not one slight inkling?

Everyone should drive in Boston at some point in their life. I was afraid for my life at times. And that on top of the traffic. :D Makes you appreciate the drivers in your home city.

Since the rental car was a stick ... and I've ripped the clutch out three times in a year on a standard, she did all of the driving to and from. They certainly do have some crazy routes.
