I just marathoned the entire season of Major Lazer last night. The level of influence it will have on my Pathfinder campaign setting is high.

Is that anything like Major Dad?

Nothing is like Major Dad.

Speaking of majors and dads, this monster is neither.

Alf was like Major Dad.

Sort of.

See. You had to qualify your statement. :P

It turns out sometimes people listen to you.

Ever since I started I've been very upfront that we don't get paid a living wage.

I even told them I would do more if I got paid for the effort, and had a nice but frank discussion on it with the district manager.

Guess who's getting a raise "to be more competitive with the current job market" company wide.

This guy!

Naturally, I don't think I was the catalyst by any means, but I'm hopeful I at least contributed to the discussion.

Good for you, Cap!

Raining in San Francisco now. Not to bad to me (I lived in the mountains for four years), but power got knocked out in a good chunk of the city. Luckily not where I work. I've 6 hours left on my shift, and I do NOT want the cash registers down.

Obedience to Trouser Law is true freedom, TOZ.

Which, in this case, stands for 'Trousers On, Zouaves!'

Found lots of photos of Longears from days gone by today, all ladies in huge and uncomfortable black dresses and gents with impressive facial hair - many of the latter were doing military things at the same time.

One of them had a bugle. I want a bugle.

So weird how slow the forums get on the weekend.

Probably because most people around these parts are slacking off at work, and immediately forget about this place when the weekend comes.

In my case no cable and internet make wife go something, something. And to make matters worse, I have a chainsaw in the house! I wonder. If I hide, do you all think she will find me? ~grins~ Yes, we STILL do not have cable or internet. The wife is going a bit (stir) crazy at this point.

Forget the gold! It is the unlimited weapon repair kits, the (fully upgraded) holorifle, and breaking the casino that make it worth the while!

For me, it's because I'm suuuuuuuuuuuuper busy on the weekend. I've got family and church and life stuff that I can't do in the week.

Definitely much better.

She was like 90% better Monday, which lead to us spending more time together, which lead to me catching it, and today, I'm about 90% better. I actually slept without having to do that "rotate sides so the mucus switches which nostril it's clogging up" thing last night!

Thanks for asking.

Can't believe you guys still don't have power. JEA had us back and running last Sunday. There's still parts of the city that were without a couple days ago, but usually only people who were on parts of the grid with only one or two houses - JEA prioritized grids with more people on them.

I feel like I'm so much less active on the forums than I used to be. I felt for a while like I was starting to carve out a presence - now I just kinda hunker down in forums I've already been talking in for months or years.

It's not a complaint, just something I kind of noticed. Mainly it's because I avoid the Pathfinder RPG subforums because it seems like all the same questions and complaints, you know?

How dare you call me a slacker??! I mean, I am, but . . . but . . . . We don't need no truth 'round here!!

My only excuse during the weekend is seeing friends, gaming, etc. But I always remember. :D

There are new ones, occasionally. I don't mind some repeats because I like helping new people out. However, I hate it when a thread boils down to "help me sneak this concept past my GM" or "help me make sure I can solo everything because I don't trust my team."

They're trying to fix the wrong problems, and in the process are making things worse for themselves. It's almost painful to watch.

Hmm

EDIT: The post count on this thread is intimidating, mainly because I like to read threads completely through before I post in them. And then I realized that I cannot do that with this one, and that it doesn't matter, because there is NO topic continuity within it.

Kind of liberating, actually.

Everyone wants their campaign to be grim-dark nowadays.

It's my youngest's second birthday! Woo~!

Two years ago today, he was born two months too early, and his mommy and I began the amazing experience of living in a Ronald McDonald house, visiting our newborn every day in the hospital while his big brother was cared for by his grandparents. Then we came home. I am so thankful for the opportunities in life and the tremendous blessings that have been poured out upon us during these past two years. I am humbled and grateful for the life that has been added to our family. And I'm excited to see where he goes in life. I love you, buddy! :D

I also pray for those who go through similar experiences as well as for those whose stories turn out differently than ours. It sounds trite, but it will be okay - there are people who love you, people who understand, and life will go forward. Peace and even joy in your life. And to those who've been successful, peace and joy to you - remember and be grateful for the amazing life we've been given.

Y'know, whenever someone asks me, "How can you possibly eat McDonald's food? It's such crap!" I like to point at the Ronald McDonald houses.

It's one awesome charity!

And as my father always said, "All things in moderation."

Eating McD's every day, or even every week? Probably not a wise choice.
Eating McD's once every month or two? Meh.

Of course, Impus Major's huge anaphylactic reaction came just a couple of hours after eating McD's food, so we've only eaten there once or twice in the last three or four years.

But I don't understand the people who hate on it so much.

I'm a food snob. But I'll still happily eat McD's food if it's what's offered to me. It's not all that bad. To me.

LOL. Sorry I'm not writing up our Skull & Shackles campaign for you then! Running three campaigns has made my writing time vanish!

But watching the Pink Pantsless One battle Captain Finn over exactly WHY he should hide behind her 4'8" frame during combats is quite delightful.

So... she's being seduced into joining the temple of Calistria, he's finding that every female pirate in the entire Shackles seems to want him for a husband, and poor half-shark Trevor is just along for the ride.

It's a wild game!

Now to find out if any of them splashed some DNA into amber, we can make dinosaur-unicorn hybrids, assuming, of course, i get the horn on the right end this time.

Thank you for the welcome. I'm quite new to the forum.

My favorite sports team is the amateur ice hockey team that my sixty-year old colleague, Gloria, is on. They kick butt! I want to look that good on the ice in ten years.

In a fight? Although Trump is a fighter, my money is on the Pope. Anyone who can take on the Vatican establishment and turn things upside down as much as he has is definitely a contender.

Hmm

NH was kinda joking there. FAWTL has three basic rules: No sports, No politics, and No Religion talk. We aren't super into enforcing them, but you will get flaming bikes launched at you if you err.

Oh, also the first post of each page is nekkid. Just is.

Tiny T-Rex is back to school today! Thank goodness!

Pea Bear is off on her first ever overnight camping trip without mom and dad (for school, and science!)

So, it should be an interesting day, I'm trying this new thing where I'm trying not to worry whether or not she can take care of herself and just assume she can by now.
