We might get a cold spell, and we might get another snow storm, but by and large, my positive spring dreams have choked out winter and ditched it behind the old oak tree.

Where, surely, no one will ever find it.

winter, rise! Show captain yesterday the meaning of cold!

Calmly grabs child's custom made hand whittled club, nonchalantly goes out outside, and maniacally beats to death last snow pile in the yard. Casually fixes comically messed up hair, and goes inside and has another cup of coffee in a warm southern breeze.

That takes care of that.

Oh my it's going to be a long week... Everyone is giving me strange looks at work today. I knew crying at work was going to be a bad idea.

You know, it's not often you get to have a player sing an Aerosmith song as part of your gaming session and have it be not only be fine in-character, not only topical to what's going on in-game, but also be a Crowning Moment of Awesome for said character and a semi-necessary part of defeating the BBEG, and have it literally save dozens of lives while being part of a mystical ritual that prevents evil from gaining a foothold in the material. And is part of a rocking impromptu concert.

Anyway:

Why. Is. It. So. Hard. To. Find. One. Stinkin'. Picture.

This is the Internet! It's supposed to have everything!

Yet here I am, staring at page 66 of Serpent of the Sanctum God, and no where on the 'Net, can I find this lousy picture!

I mean: I have the physical thing, right here, right in front of me. It's not like I don't have it. But any attempt to replicate this electronically will look hideous, and I am exceptionally uninterested in going through the (rather painful) contortions to get the PDF onto my iPad.

All I want is to be able to pull up a cool pic when the character has flashbacks, okay? That's all I want~! That's aaaalll... Iiiii... wwaaa-haa-haaa~nnnt~!

EDIT: It should be noted that I'm frustrated, but this is not a really an important thing. It wouldn't come up for quite some time, but I'm doing really, really advanced prep-work for the future. Like, "Uh, why are you preparing a year or more in advance?" type stuff. And really, in the grand scheme of things, this is minor... I just kind of like this image of Savith and Ydursius than their individual pictures. Ah, well. :)

I'll be home in about an hour and can extract the picture from the PDF and send it to you, if no one beats me to it =)

also she was talking about branching off into alchemist recently, so probably a good thing. :-)

Came down with a bad head cold today. Went to work, manager tried to get me to do new stuff without explaing these tasks (I have Aspergers. Don't just leave me alone to "just figure it out" unless you want me to majorly screw up.) when I has so foggy headed from the virus I barely knew what was going on. So now he's very upset with me for basically having my head up my ass all shift and not getting near enough work done, and doing what I did do wrong.

I did impulse buy a bottle of Kilbeggan yesterday, which is fortunate. At the risk of sounding like I'm from the 19th century, I have yet to find a better head cold rest aid than whiskey. Maybe it's just drunken bravado, but it always makes me feel a bit better.

Ha! Management can sometimes be crazy. Last time a manager told me to "just figure it out" I did just that. I was selling auto parts at the time and we got a ton of new inventory that wasn't in the system. So they tossed me to the inventory wolves and washed their hands of it. I had no idea what to do so after a day of unproductive effort I stepped back and looked at it from a whole new angle... days later the manager comes to me and asks why he can't find something. I explain to him that I redesigned the entire inventory system so that I could easily enter the new stuff. He wasn't happy, BUT I did what he asked and in a very efficient manner. And it was fun to be the only one who knew the system for a week or two.

I enjoy hands off management. It's a lot better than micromanaging idiots who have no conceptualization of what the word "delegation" means. One of the things I prefer about my current job is the lack of a boss looking over my shoulder every two minutes.
