as you are naked and have mentioned firefly, I must, if only to have more brown coats for my grievous-like collection of brown coats.

Hmmm. You didn't get any blood transfusions from someone names Jennifer Walters, did you?

Has one of the dogs been building any devices that might have mind control functions? You should probably wear a two-ply aluminum foil hat for a couple days to rule this out.

Hope you're not having a weird allergic reaction to something.

Nothing awkward here.

As my personal favorite Poet Sean Connery said,

Sean Connery : "My magic watch says you aren't wearing any underwear."

Hot damn: "Well your watch must be broken because I am in fact wearing underwear."

Sean Connery (looks at watch) : "Damn thing must be ten minutes fast..."

You know, having once again gone through Serenity (pilot), Train Job, Bushwacked, and Shindig, I can safely say: Firefly was a good show.

EDIT: for the curious, the other episodes are going to be watched... when I've the time. Sigh, time.

Had to look this up. She's inherently 140 but weighs 650 transformed? Where does the mass for the extra 510# come from? Does she suck in nearby matter like a black hole? Because that would be a good superpower in itself.

Seek not the logic of superhero physics; that way lies madness.

It's an old internet meme (in the timeline of the internet anyway, circa early 2000s). Whenever you have a list of things, it always ends with ??? followed and concluded by PROFIT!

The problem with shape changers in general, I'm afraid. What is easily the cooler super power (well, top three) is one of the least sensible. Dang it mass/energy conversion* and conservation**! Not to mention... dang it, speed of causality! You guys ruin everything!

I like Battlestar Galactica.

I'm incapable of discussing Firefly without swearing, it's that bad (for me).

just typing that without swearing took every ounce of willpower.

The hilarious part of it, if I had known Joss Whedon was directing and not Judd Apatow (whom I'm always getting mixed up with) I never would have seen The Avengers, which is one of my favorite movies ("It's an action movie, with the witty dialogue of Freaks and Geeks" I would tell the General).

I will never deny anyone else their fandoms. While I disagree with many on what is good or bad (example: I think the Star Wars prequels are pretty awful, and the most recent edits I've seen even make the Extended OT pretty 'meh' on account of how it just stops the film for no apparent reason to show us stuff we already know; others like them), I won't disparage their favorite things.

(Well, I might, a bit, but I'll be sure to point out, if I remember to do so, that it's, like, just my opinion, man!)

On an unrelated note: while I don't think Whedon is the be-all/end-all of geekdom, I really do like much (most?*) of his stuff**.

(Admission: I liked the original movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer enough that I didn't like the series at first due to the major tonal shift... it had to win me over. I do like it, but I've still never seen the whole thing or its spin-offs.)

* I, uh, I just realized I don't know his whole filmography. So... let's just say that I like the things I've seen that I know are his?
** Notable Examples: Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog, Much Ado About Nothing, Avengers (still surprised Nathan Fillion wasn't in that one), Firefly, both forms of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and so on.
