In today's Darklight Sisterhood game, I had the party face the charibdys, a dreaded creature of the deep. I thought it would be an amazing combat as the party would avoid being knocked overboard and do limited damage with it via spells and distance attacks. Truly, a battle for the ages.

They ate it.

THEY F+%#ING ATE IT.

The spellcasters INSISTED on using flame and lightning attacks against it, and forbade the fighters from wounding it, lest they spoil the meat. The sorceress(my wife)had a lobster bib on halfway through the combat. Spell after spell went into this thing, which eventually expired after a flame strike(holy damage) took it out.

They picked out the treasure from its bits and pieces while they cooked it, enjoying the music from a golden music box they plucked from its possessions as they stuffed the body with garlic and other spices.

Challenge rating 13 is now culinary rating 13.

I hope they used the right kind of butter.

Yeah, they're no fun, but I don't have a problem with them doing their own thing. Plus, Matt Pless says it's OK.

A good friend of mine is a vegan, and we all make fun of him for it, but he takes it well and makes fun of us right back (see my quote about the "Freegan idiot" a few months back.

I hate security challenge questions because either the answer is complicated or context-sensitive (i went to two high schools, multiple elementary schools, at least two cars could be considered my first car, etc) or there are variety of different ways to spell or state the name of the answer.

A beta reader maybe

The script could probably also use an editor since I do plan on publicly releasing it to make my story accessible to the blind.

Did you try running it in compatibility mode?

Tried and it still did not work. I also could not get the latest update for it. Fracking Bioware.

Dave is a brilliant editor, should you need one.

Interest in the workings of the Pathfinder rules has made me moderately more interested in the workings of law.

*sigh* Plumbers sent by house administration came and apparently they don't have a screw driver to remove screws that mount the toilet seat to the floor. Great.

Thankfully they damaged only one of two screws. I'll need to go buy a new one later.

*sighs* Logged out from Paizo on the phone, and now I can't log back in with it.

Kinda making it hard to even lurk properly. :(

On the plus side, I had enough energy left after work to bike down to the bakery so I could have freshly baked bread (as in, I had to wait 8 minutes for them to get it out of the oven fresh) for breakfast.

I missed out on all the sighing.

If you don't feel like "Dave" is a name you want for your editor, I would happily suggest Treppa. :D

I think it's worth an 8-minute wait for fresh bread. Yum.

I edit too.

I need to have something back by the end of the week. Personal drama had slowed me down in this fourth job.

I can't speak to your editing, since I've never had the pleasure of you editing something of mine (or had a boring second round of edits because Dave did the first round).

Maybe I can change that...

I do not edit. It might have something to do with English not being my native language.

Hey, I'm simply amazed he's a great editor, too. He arts, he musics, he... edits? Is there anything he can't do? He's our FAWTL Renaissance man!

My experience is that Paizo just doesn't work with Android.

I have an android phone, I use chrome for my internet browser, Paizo works fine on it, using it right now in fact :-)

I use android tablet and it works fine when I visit Paizo.

I may have started making my first steps down a terrifying but liberating road.

I am now considering to make Pillars Of Eternity's cipher a psychic hexer, using hexes instead of powers to recreate cipher's ability to use abilities many times per day but avoiding the logistic trouble of keeping track of focus, at least the big numbers and big swings of focus from PoE. Such cipher might get some sort of energy pool to power/enhance hexes and some other psychic related abilities...

Funny what players remember the most... When at the end of last session the assistant of the absent-minded sage appeared to tell the party that the sage went missing, the first thing they remembered that she was the one who was carrying a hedgehog in a basket. *blink-blink* Oh, right, the sage had a hedgehog familiar and she indeed carried it in the basket...

Hey, Da Vinci couldn't change a fuse, much less wire a breaker panel.

I can't wait to see when my copy will be arriving, I chose cheapest shipping and they sent it Friday, stuff from the west coast usually arrives pretty promptly, they just wanna get thru Montana and the Dakotas is my guess on why :-)

Vista, you say? Well, he said pointing under the hood there's your trouble right there.

One hour till work starts. Short story for the blog is almost done, novel still has ways to go, and I should start planning for the next Carrion Crown session starting tomorrow.

Nobody told me there's a "Campaign Journals" section in the forum!

...but I'm keeping the Carrion Crown recap thread where it is, because I can.

I went to bed a bit early but woke up really too early... *yawn*

...I REALLY hate it when I have that feeling like I forgot something important, but don't remember what it was.

What I was supposed to do? Never mind, I think I'll go back to bed...

Man the house is a mess from me working three days straight :-)

I'm pretty sure laundry doesn't go in that and what happened to the cookbook shelf, and what did those people do to my pawns, the tins they're housed in are scattered and hidden about the living room. Egads! It's like a Vegas hotel room missing the drugs, booze, hookers and Ed Helms :-)

So that's what happens when your wife is battling allergies and you're not there to clean up the mess:-D

I KNOW I've linked the journals I've posted there before... which I should probably get around to updating one of these days.

Hey, I can change a fuse and wire a breaker panel.

I'll get shocked a couple times and the house will burn down in an electrical fire, but I can do it.

is it only for pbp games on the site or can it be used for offsite games?

No restrictions, any game you want :-)

I had a strange and complex dream.

I remember the sensations of what it was about, but I can't really describe it in words.

This is common for a lot of my dreams.
