Thanks. It's weird. You know the whole "cold turkey" thing? It really is the ONLY way to do it. I kept trying to cut down to a "reasonable" 2 drinks a day and it never worked.

So after a particularly bad day where I was *gasp* rude to a guest, I just decided, "OK, that's it," and stopped entirely.
There are good days and bad days, but on the whole it's WAAAAAAY easier than trying to drink a "moderate" amount...

I quit smoking cold turkey 18 years ago, I completely agree cold turkey is the way to go :-)

Good for you, trust me after awhile it won't seem like a struggle :-)

Naturally. That poser yahg should have known better than to use a plasma conduit as a skylight. Dumbass.

Oh no, this young couple's cat went into "the shed" it's like a Don Bluth cartoon in there, mice in the broken down washers the maintenance guy stashed in there for years, Raccoons, Squirrels, other wilder cats, they've been trying to coax the cat out for 3 days now.

Gratz again my good interwebs acquaintance! :)

My dad quit smoking cold turkey (many moons ago) and always claimed that it was the only way to go.

Fortunately for me, I can afford neither cigarettes nor alcohol (at least not in enough quantities to induce drunkenness) and I have decided that's good, as I lack the desire and willpower to stop things that I might enjoy,... :)

So double-good for you! :D

I literally cannot play mass effect and NOT start a relationship with liara. I tried. It is impossible.

I also choose Ashley every time. Because my GOD, what's-his-face(I have intentionally forgotten his name) is an embarrassment and should turn his manhood in at the start of the game.

Meanwhile, this summer vacation [insert grumbling mutterings about not being allowed to take it in October or March] I'll be drinking way more than normal - at least one bottle of wine or cider every other day!

Hopefully the whole first period thing happens when the wife is home, however if sitcoms have taught me anything it will not :-(

Kaidan is definitely creepy stalker dude.

But I can't get on with Liara at all. The awkwardness is almost cute. Almost. But she's just so needy. (I fault the game writers here. They bring on the relationship stuff both way too soon and way too heavy handed as I often found myself screaming at the tv, "but that has nothing to do with the conversation option I picked, I didn't say that!")

Do i... do i start over? i did the whole smite the enclave angle, the purify the water shtick, left the capitol grounds littered with super mutant and talon company body parts, went all star trek alien spaceship fight against alien scum.... went to the pitt.

all thats left is finding some a$@&~~@ named Zimmer and give him an Android finger and tell him he's dead, or possibly do the whole black something or other ritual mission in the Bayou, but that seems like a whole thing.... the Irradiated Hill Billy f~!*ers are a pain to kill... i just might start over, this time with knowledge! and a better idea of what i'm doing right from the start:-)

edit: also i'm 30th level:-)

I found Kaidan easy to start a relationship with... but then he just stalls on you tell the end of the game. And WHAT a douche after you come out of a coma, a total waste of time as a romance.

I totally agree about Liara I was talking all like a friend and suddenly she is WAY into starting something... I was like Hold on when did I ever lead you to think that?!

iirc, she was supposed to be far worse in me1- i read her as less of a bigot and more legitimately ignorant/war brat. She is much better in me3.
