Staying in the room and attacking the remaining ratfolk was the first priority. Knowing that his master was not here and again foolishly stepping on his own dangerously Lony tried to finish these two opponent faster. Only in Pack they would get out faster and able to challange bigger foes.

Lony takes a too-cautious nip at the last ratfolk in the upstairs room, and Flametouched takes a too-wild swing at Pauhan. The warforged's elbow catches the tengu in the beak on the backswing, however. Pauhan is finally bloodied.
The ratfolk in the upstairs bedroom takes a wild swing at Lony, and connects with a lucky shot.

Focused on nothing but defense and survival, Nark survives the onslaught - for now - bashing aside the ratfolk's furious little jabs with crazed abandon.

The shifter moves down to stand next to Ohak, ready to slice into a ratfolk.
Xzot follows Ormak, seeing the scene before them. "Call off your ratmen, Pauhan, and you might survive this conflict. I'd prefer to end this like men, not animals."

The ratfolk who had hit back at Lony was standing in front of him. Baring its fangs and attacking towards its throat to end it life.

Flametouched finds once again that its wounds don't seem to be as severe as it would have expected. Thus, undeterred, it continues its assault on Pauhan in silent fury.

Lony and Lady Jenise finish off the remaining ratfolk in the bedroom () while Flametouched finally scores a critical advantage in the staircase skirmish.
Pauhan is pierced by Flametouched's blade. He looks to be in bad shape, and his ratfolk allies seem to notice.
"Up, up, up the stairs! Up!" cry the outnumbered ratfolk on the staircase.

Clinging desperately to life, Nark weaves and wiggles and bashes aside countless attacks from half a dozen tiny knives.
Ohak, calm but concerned, blindly rests a hand on Flametouched's wooden shoulder.
"I cannot see, my friend, but I can heal your injuries. r'you in need?"
Ohak will ready his action until there is a reply.
"Too dangerous. Not till I fall," grunts Flametouched. Additional eloquence is beyond it, for the moment.
Lady Jenise moves up besides Ormak, seeing the scene before her.
Nark, a bit nervous and nerve-wrecked at this point keeps dodging the blades as begin to scream as much as he can from his lungs.
Looking momentarily at the dwarf and wondering if sharing his fate Nark wont die! Stupid raaaaaats, iiiiiiiiiiiih! Huhhuhhuhhuhhuh.... too close. Nark doesn´t want to end up like a dwarf the thoughts cross his mind as he is totally making everything out!

Pauhan steps backwards - perhaps a little disoriented - and casts a spell over himself which seems to close some of his wounds.
Pauhan's healing effect:
The tengu glances down the stairway, eyes resting on Lothar's unconscious and crippled form. When his beady avian eyes again turn upwards to meet those of Lady Jenise and Flametouched, there is a clear and desperate evil in them.
Hearing its master shrieking Lony turns and rushes to its master direction
Flametouched cannot read into the tengu's expression; by the Flame's benevolence, however, it does not truly need to in order to do what needs to be done.

Opening his mouth to speak, Pauhan is instead crumpled by Flametouched's longsword. Pauhan lands face-down on the stairs. He does not stir.
With that, the ratfolk curse and panic... someone yells "run!"
Scurrying everywhere, your ratfolk assailants begin to withdraw, diving through open windows and running for the doors.
"Yes!" growls the warforged, who, in the heat of battle, does not hesitate to attack one of the fleeing ratfolk when it provides it with an opening.
I can confidently say that I am not bleeding out.

Nark watching after the feeling ratfalk feels his ego again boosted and taste of victory in his mouth crackles and throws insult after the ratmen.
Turning and seeing Lothar lying on the ground Narks eyes pops between people in upstairs and Lothar. Stepping closer and examine his wounds for any immediate danger Nark nods his head in a rhythm as his fingers moves on the body. As Nark attempt to do something useful he soon notices a bit food left in his pocket and distracted by it begins to eat happily
Ormak moves down the stairs, to where Lothar is on the ground. He stands guard, making sure no other enemy goes after his fallen friend.
As soon as it can concentrate enough to bank the fires of the Flame within it, Flametouched hurries down the steps toward the fallen form of Lothar. "Please, someone, aid Ohak down the steps," it calls out before bowing its head and speaking a short prayer of healing over the unconscious monk.
Lothar groans and clutches his bow, standing up Did we win?

Jumping back down to Lothar Nark saved you! Nark there, attacking ratzies and not letting them killz you. Nark speaks fast and pops his head along the speech and fall in silence for a moment Good you dead not, bad for Lady Jenise! Nark happy... Dwarfy remember Nark and posing as the utmost pinnacle of the guardian angels

Lady Jenise goes and helps the blind Ohak down the steps as he starts to make his way. "Thank you for your help. Hopefully your eyesight can be restored." Seeing Lothar rise, "I believe so, thought it's hard to understand him at times." She gives Nark a smile before continuing, "I am curious what the birdman thought to accomplish by this attack. I had thought Karbal wanted us alive, so did he turn on him, or are there other games afoot?" Lady Jenise attempts to plant the thought into Ohak as she aids him.
"Pauhan suggested Nark had managed to disrupt some scheme the tengu and ratfolk had concocted together," Flametouched says as it rises to its feet. If a walking statue of wood and iron can sound tired, Flametouched sounds exhausted.
Crossing the room, the warforged lays its hand on Ohak's shoulder. "Brother, I have heard of magic that might exist to undo the birdman's curse, but it is beyond my power. Nonetheless, I give you my oath by the Flame that I will find it if it can be found. For now, though, I am concerned for your safety; you mentioned earlier that your place in the Holt has been maintained through fear, and I have no doubt that a warrior in your condition will be seen as weak, easy prey for the scavengers that skulk through the alleys of this settlement."

Ohak smiles warmly, and with a touch of bittersweet amusement. "Aye. T'isn't me that they fear, though - it is the Ghaash'kala. My brothers. I don't fear for my neck; but my eyes..."
Ohak spits up a wad of phlegm.
"My health is poor in many ways, brother, but my eyes are sharp. Or they were. My kind does not live for long - I have no doubt that this mission is my last, or that I was chosen for it for my age and my softness as much as for my personable nature and my sharp senses." The pot-bellied orc grins at his own musings.
"Still, I'd rather not return to the Ghaash'kala for a death of mercy if my mission can still be fulfilled. I'd not accept another's promise of aid - from another I'd call it pity. But your flame is mine, I think. Some part of me knows so, Flametouched. I'll hold you to your oath if you'd keep it."
