I'd adopt you. I think you would make a wonderful imaginary friend.

Are you sure you're not secretly the "star" of some horrible Truman Show? Man, what the hell?!

Edit: It occurs to me you may also be the lone sane protagonist stuck in the slow-building first half of a Stephen King horror novel. In which case, I'm just another imaginary voice in your head.

Those thoughts have crossed my mind more than once.

Just got a birthday card with 70 bucks in it from coworkers. What an unexpected and appreciated windfall.

Working the night shift during the winter in one of the cloudiest cities in the country is starting to make me feel like that Venusian kid who gets locked in the closet in that one Ray Bradbury story.

Scint linked me to that story once. That sucked.

Definitely not getting a voting title this year. No time.

Plus: I got some sleep.
Not so plus: in the middle of the day, and now it's 9 PM and I just woke up.

Found out this morning that, since I'm going back to school starting in February, I'm going to have to leave my job (neither UPS nor BOCES will let me have any flexibility in my schedule, and there's an hour's overlap between the two). My job sucks, but it's a job, and I really need the money. Then, this afternoon, my dad called me to tell me that my uncle, his older brother, has cancer. It just keeps on coming.

Damn. I'm sorry man.

Right now, Mass Effect 3 and Avoid One Thing are the only things holding my sanity together.

Did Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends ever make it across the pond to Europe? You (and I, and the rest) might instead be the imaginary friends of children who've grown up and forgotten us... so we've been bureaucratically-assigned to haunt poor Dave.

While I may be imaginary, I'm quite sure I've never been any child's friend.

Tonight I made beef and broccoli with lo-mein noodles...ummmmm!

In related news, the bridge between Denmark and Sweden was closed due to strong winds today and tonight (as were the bridges across Glafsfjorden and the Göta Älv rivermouth)

Went to bed a bit past one am, woke up around eight am. (Not counting waking up and falling asleep a few times, as usual). I think we can call it a success. If I manage to stay up til one or two am without napping the things might go the right direction.

I still need some adjusting to my sleep cycle thanks to work.

hi everyFaWtL,

back from skiing holiday,
7 hav just made a quick scroll through the last pages, so I hope I have not missed anything important (good or bad) and everyone is well and kicking

So, the other day I was sitting on my couch eating cinnamon graham crackers, drinking store-brand strawberry kool-aid from a rinsed out 2-liter soda bottle, and watching the dvd I received from Netflix that afternoon--the classic piece of cinema Smokey and the Bandit. About halfway through the film, I hit pause on the remote, took a look at myself, and said aloud "This is, without a doubt, one of the white-trashiest moments in my life." I then shrugged, said "F~*+ it," took another swig of kool-aid, grabbed another cracker, and hit play.

Sometimes in life, you gotta just say "F$%* it" and hit play.

Of course, it was a digital download.

AD&D game went OK. My players had played nothing but Pathfinder up until this point, so the general thoughts about the game were "I get how many hit points?"

I love me some "Cool Hand luke" nice sunday movie

Can you believe it ook me over 35 years to watch French Connection? Well, on Saturday, I took care of that gap in my cultural education, and realised that McNulty off of The Wire is a 30 years younger Popeye Doyle.

I have one month left to be faster than you in that matter. Unless I watched it and just don't remember...
