"Their cousins, too, were chased down like mosquitoes a wet Norrland summer."

It must have been warm summer. Still, going naked exposes more skin for mosquitoes...

Off to bed.

At derpycon! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to head for derpycon, but get lost along the way and wind up somewhere completely different?

Or, show up for derpycon, but cosplay wrong. For instance, dress as Applejack, but with Pinky Pie's cutie mark, and Rarity's personality.

There are belly dancers here. They were dressed as pinkie pie and fluttershy today. They may be going to new York ponycon as well.

Still nothing on the blog? :c

About to start the last session of Three Clerics soon.

Silver Crusade

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Me, obviously. Back after 2 illnesses.

I just saw Ramsay Bolton (the nasty, torture happy bastard from Game of Thrones break the fall of Gandalf, who was dressed as Father Christmas.

I apologize for my long absence. Though, some may not have been unhappy...

I've been trying to get my med situation straightened out, and this time for good. Finding out what's wrong has been one thing... finding meds that work fully have been something else.

Some of them... you really wouldn't have wanted to see how they affected me. Or wanted to deal. I've had kind people in real life, and even they've been near the breaking point dealing with the issue.

Any improvement in medication field for you?

A bit. Doctor determined my caffeine addiction was potentially causing an issue due to how caffeine interacts with certain neurotransmitters. Being weaned off that sucked. I've been put on multiple drugs, some of which are to counter side-effects from others. I'm also being monitored for tachyphylaxis with this latest set.

Finished Forge Of Darkness. Want more jaghuts! The next tome is supposed to be released next year. Which means that it will be in Poland around 2016 :(

Good morning Aeglos and Icyshadow.

Morning.

Mage: The Technocracy On Mars game today.

Of course the few weeks after we started NASA just had to invalidate our timeline by planning their first manned flight ten years later than in our game...

damn good to have you back.

It can be a nightmare, balancing meds, especially ending one to start another. I wish you nothing but the best of luck and am here if you need to talk.

I honestly would perfer physical issues over mental issues. At least you can SHOW someone what is wrong with you.

And even if you can't show it (e.g. many forms of cancer), people are treating it more seriously.

Thank you. But, there are things about that period I don't wish to talk about. Just not a good period.

At least when someone asks me if I have brain damage, I can reply that I do.

Silver Crusade

Yesterday was the toys for tots party, pretty cool santa shows up in a fire truck and hangs out for photos with the kids both big and small.

Found out yesterday that Denver has a traditional German Christmas market (Christkindlmarkt) near downtown. We'll go next weekend. I'm so excited! Haven't been to one since Munich/Innsbruck about 25 years ago. It's not going to be quite the same without the beautiful old town squares, but it'll be fun anyway.

Some thoughts my way on Thursday morning might be nice - at the moment they're predicting wind with the strongest gusts reaching hurricane strength.

At least I won't have to cross any bridges.

When I went to pick up my guttering today (incidentally, if anybody wants about 6-7 inches of plastic pipe, it's yours. Don't all rush), the man at the builders' merchant warned me, 'DON'T GO UP ON THE ROOF!', presumably for the same reasons. Unless Springheel Jack's on the loose again.

More gales, eh? Wonder what'll end up being blown into my front yard this time? Not been anything exciting so far, but hope springs eternal.

Ouch! Where do you live?

Here.

it's not THAT cold... we're getting rain, not snow!

Back from session. Our resident exile from Earth due to unorthodox teachings in robotics circles just stirred some things by revealing to his ex-wife the robot he was building and she insisted on showing it to whole expedition (incidentally completely ruining my presentation about development of the base that was intended to attract attention of team geologist away from region where umbral martians live and left some signs on walls of caves) and the rest of the party took it badly despite the robot being completely non-magical.

I've been steadily losing interest in Golarion as a campaign setting.

Some of the recent threads around here haven't helped much with that, to say the least.

On the bright side, Three Clerics got finished yesterday and I'm more pumped than ever on doing another campaign in Mystralas in the future as a result!

In other news, my last week at Civilian Service camp started today, and then I'll be free to write and ponder on things until the 7th of January. Hopefully I get more stuff done before the end of the year.

There's a lot of cool things in Golarion, but it's always been a thing to cobble stuff out of more than a setting to play in, for me.

FaWTLmas brings to my mind images of rainbows, alcohol, and HD and moorluck topless, beating on drums and howling in the new year.

I have already seriously altered golarion.

In my opinion, Golarion starts with kingmaker and the PCS making their own kingdom, and moving on from there.

Is anyone doing the Iron Gods arc? If so how good is it?

MacCarran airport, free wi-fI, and an iPad. Life doesn't get better than this on a Tuesday morning.

BluePigeon wrote:

I plan to run it after Kingmaker with some serious alterations. It looks good thus far, but the paizo weakness of one adventure path, five authors is quite obvious here, especially with sci-fi elements involved.
