*blink*

I have conceived a post-modernist poem

Wanna hear it? Here it goes...

Saturday in the Small hours

Morning. Early morning

Manning the register

Waiting for your custom

Would you like a receipt with that?

Hunters like coffee

Old men like papers

I like sleep

But that's for later

For now I curate the chips

And shepherd the soda

So you have your desire

Night and Day

It's quiet. Too quiet. Is this when everyone jumps out and yells "Surprise! Happy Birthday!"? 'Cause it ain't my birthday.

*yawn*

Going for a session. We ended being in den of iniquity that is a pirate city.

Three posts yesterday?

Oh FAWTL. *smh*

The problem with that place is that they all love Joss Whedon and Alton Brown.

Hah! I remember when I discovered them in later nineties. I thought that she has a very rough voice then...

Open Your Eyes, Lord Of The Boards, and a few other relatively easily get me on floor in rock pubs that have dance space.

wow, I did not know they where known outside of Germany, Poland is near enough I guess, but where did Patrick encounter them, where they known in the US ?

I found the singer, Sandra Nasic, ver sexy back then, today she looks much to regular and nothing special anymore ( a nose job, I guess)

Stupid snow. In approximately one day, it will cease to look pretty and be merely a sludgy and sooty mess on the streets for the kids to fishtail on.

The windchill's even worse. I keep forgetting to take it into account because it's been so warm since I moved down here. Stepped out for a walk last night when my forecast read 40...mid 20s was more accurate.

A few years ago they had a small concert in a theater in my neighborhood. I even considered going but I was deeply in debts then, and I don't fancy concerts in the first place.

A friend of mine in the military introduced me to them. He had done a year in Germany right before we became roommates, so I would guess he heard of them there.

Sorry about the recent silence, Civilian Service happened.

I sadly also failed to deliver on my writing blog entry before such.

Thankfully there is internet access here, so I might be able to work on it here.

How come all pasta packages always end up with 1/4 of a portion in the end?

Poor planning?

Here, pasta is typically sold by the pound, and I figure 1/4 pound per person if the pasta is the focus of the dish (1/6 or 1/8 if it is more of a side dish).

To me, 1/4 pound of pasta in the box says to me, "Here is dinner the next time you are fending for yourself."

John and I have been saving our change in jars for the last year and a half. We decided to use the change for spending money for the Italy trip. I finished rolling it all last night. $485. That's a lot of coinage.

I also spent time yesterday cleaning the new place. It looked like a tube of toothpaste had exploded in the medicine cabinet. *shudders*

sounds like an ugly situation. I'm sorry. That's something I fear happening with my own mom when I have kids.

so it snowed Saturday night into yesterday morning, not much just 2 inches, and despite living in a city we have a nice little field behind our house (we're almost downtown too, which makes it even rarer!) so i took our Beagle Peaches out to chase field mice, and the dumb ass dog is sitting there digging into the snow and turf going after this field mouse den while literally 2 feet behind him 15-20 lil mice are popping out of one hole in the snow making a mad dash 10 feet to another hole, the whole time Peaches is completely oblivious to what happening behind him.

i'm sorry, that sucks! my wife's mom tries that from time to time, my own mom keep herself too busy to butt in and thankfully my wife's parents have already left to winter in the desert:)

It just adds up, and my tolerance for dealing with it is low since I'm fighting a cold too.

Most of the time, it's not so bad. But since I'm sick, she's "helping."

I appreciate the help, really. When it's actually helping.

We're freezing here!! Not really, we have highs in the 60s yesterday and today. Almost a 20 degree drop in weather over the period of 1 day.
