Every time in my life that I have filled out a crazy application like that, it never amounted to anything. The job I have now I got by sending my résumé and then interviewing. I'm not sure why that is. Maybe, the more Byzantine the application, the more Byzantine the HR bureaucracy of the company.
I miss the days not too long ago when businesses handed out paper applications even if they weren't hiring. These days, they're like unicorns. And good luck if anyone tries handing out resumes. I've gotten so many weird looks it isn't funny.

Strange/busy couple of days. Had drinks after work on Monday (not as many as the friday cocktails), so got in late. Then had to get up at 3am to travel to Glasgow to watch the Commonwealth games, which was particularly interesting. Since I went, of course Prince William, Kate & Harry also turned up.
But there was alot of fun sport, anyway now to see if I can catch up on pbp's.

Headed out to see a hematologist in a couple hours. Just the next step in trying to diagnose whatever my oh-so-fascinating (to doctors) and super annoying (to me) physical problems are. I've been trying to keep up a good attitude but I've seen a lot of doctors at this point and my spirits are flagging a bit.
So instead of focusing on that I'm concentrating on the things that bring me joy in life. I picked up the Rise of the Runelords anniversary adventure path a bit ago and I'm reading through that. I think I'm gonna run my group through it after the conclusion of our current campaign, might even add in a few storyline ties and encounters with my groups fav villainous organization (one created and run by the same players villainous PCs from another campaign) and their brutal killers. Connected campaign narratives for the win!

You didn't happen to see my parents while up there? ;)

*shrug* it's either that or be crushed under the weight of my illness, I guess I'm just thankful right now that I'm still healthy enough to make that choice.

Nah. I just finished >>xenopi<< (blogpost).
Link is not working. If you do not put https:// before the url, it auto adds paizo.com/threads/ before it in the link, redirecting to the store front. Just fyi.
>>xenopi<< should work, though I can't verify, as work blocks it anyhow. :P

Good luck with the sanguine specialist. May they have more insight than those that came before them.
Nice idea on the connected campaigns, and good luck with it too. I just started RotRL with some friends last Friday, looks to be off to a good start, so I hope your group enjoys it too. :)

Just got back, the good news is my elevated white bloodcell count isn't because of any cancers. The bad news is they are still not sure if that, the sudden blindness in my left eye, the skewed balance, bizarre nerve sensations, etc are related or separate issues.
Yeah, thanks man, I hope your game is a blast!

So I met one of the instructional coaches. I was then informed she recognized my voice from "my video."
"...What video?" I asked, thinking perhaps they had recorded my interview since it was over webcam.
"Oh, what was it...a lit review of some sort."
I paused in puzzlement. I don't even have a video camera for making videos, and I don't review anyth-
...except for that one time when the library staff was asking for a variety of people to film book reviews for the blog and wanted a student involved in addition to the professors and faculty they had lined up...
...aaaaaand that while everyone else in on this review series was choosing meaningful classic books and socially significant commentaries, I'm blathering on about "I THINK SCIENCE FICTION IS COOL."
By this point, I am various shades of pink and facepalming to the point my glasses have all but left my head, and the coach is laughing.

I find the ubiquitous nature of video cameras these days to be slightly discomforting. It's only a matter of time before my drunken metal karaoke lands on line somehow. O_o

Debating on whether I should start another play-through of Mass Effect. Or, as I like to call it, Virtual Friends Simulator, volumes I - III.
I....have to agree with this assessment of that series of video games. And I will probably be spending the evening playing more Mass Effect 3....Liara is totally that annoying friend who has issues with boundaries....

I'd honestly be more inclined to put Kaidan in that category, myself...
