So we'll walk down the shoreline

One last time together

Feel the wind blow our wanderin' hearts Like a feather

But who knows what's waiting

In the wings of time

Dry your eyes

We gotta go where we can shine

Don't be hiding in sorrow

Or clinging to the past

With your beauty so precious

And the season so fast

No matter how cold the horizon appear

Or how far the first night

When I held you near

You gotta rise from these ashes

Like a bird of flame

Step out of the shadow

We've gotta go where we can shine

For all that we struggle

For all we pretend

It don't come down to nothing

Except love in the end

And ours is a road

That is strewn with goodbyes

But as it unfolds

As it all unwinds

Remember your soul is the one thing

You just can't compromise

Take my hand

We're gonna go where we can shine

♪We're gonna go where we can shine♪

♫We're gonna go where we can shine♫

(and look, and look)

Through the windows of midnight

Just checking in folks. At the library for free wi-fi and sending in resumes to a couple of companies and finalizing the paperwork for the one that offered me the job. Really hoping for this second job though, it looks to be a potentially longer term job and well it pays better too. Send good thoughts please.

Good luck man. More so on the second, but definitely on both.

Good idea, I'm going for an all you can eat curry tonight then playing Feng Shui RPG. Should be fun, if I'm creative enough.
Maximum "creativity", eh? Lemme fix you up a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster.
How did you know I was going for an adult beverage too....
When there's an Irishman behind the counter, there ain't nothin' but.
When I was younger, I assumed that Irish schools replaced milk with alcohol.
While not quite that far gone, mothers are given a pint of Guinness after giving birth. Full of iron, good for recovery. And underage drinking is very much the norm.
Wow. That is pretty bad.

Depends on which part ya mean. If about the mothers, as BT said, they've earned it after that. Besides, lots of doctors say it's good for them, due to the high iron content. We call it "liquid bread" for a reason. You could live off the stuff.

As for the underage drinking, yeah, not as happy with that part of our culture. Unfortunately, the only movement on it at the moment is how to make it even younger. But that's a ramblin' for a different thread, methinks.

how did she like Germany ?

She will be back home on Saturday (and hopefully awake enough to play some Pathfinder at the con on Sunday).

She had a great time, and she really enjoyed Germany. I can imagine her wanting to go back on her own.

and of course you will acompany her and you both come and visit me
I gotta get a passport.
I second that motion! Tour Europe! We have history! And booze!
...as long as I don't have to go back to Paris.

Paris? Goodness no. There are Parisians there.

I'll admit I'm approaching this with a different perspective, so I'm having a hard time imagining how it can be healthy at all. Here, there's concerns about alcohol being passed on by breastfeeding. So it kinda leaves me bumfuzzled.

The underage drinking bit is definitely bad.

Gah!

Father is driving me crazy with his BS...

I want to go home...

*sigh* About five weeks more... And I have just lend father five hundred pounds because he wants to buy a used car from a coworker in place of used car he has at the moment.

I'm sorry he is being such a pain and hope it gets resolved soon.

And again I am under the £3000 and probably remain under next Friday...

Tonight is PIZZA night, a rare treat around here.

We go to a local place that serves up NY-style pizzas called Rocky's. The original cook & owner was an Italian immigrant who lived a decade or two in NYC before moving here. The place has been around since my folks moved here in 1976, and continues to have excellent food and better company.

I'm stoked. I've been craving their pizza for weeks.

It's where kiddo ate her first pizza slice. No Pizza Hut for this baby girl!

Looking into buying oversized dice for the kid. She's fascinated with trying to roll my dice for me.

I let her (once) last night. She nearly critted.
