I think it's official. Aberzombie bit the thread and it rose from the grave after it was officially killed!

You can't keep a good thread down. Or this one...

Thank ya'll for the well wishes. :)

@Drejk - If your friend has any advice or words of wisdom, feel free to pass them on. Though I hope my own situation does not go that far. Sympathies to your friend for what I am sure must have been very trying times leading to this point.

Enjoying a bubble tea after a few weeks hiatus from bubble tea. Tonight's flavor is lychee. yum......

Is it a good tea?

Silver Crusade

We need to have bubble tea soon, man.

This bubbled tea sounds relevant to my interests. And such lovely flavours. I haven't had a lychee in years. I should fix that.

Dark Archive

First night with no exams looming overhead, no furious studying to be done, no kidlet down to entertain. I may have played video games for six hours straight, and it may have been glorious. A leeetle bit tired in work today, but very much worth it.

Neverwinter MMORPG:
Not sure if any of you folk play the Neverwinter MMORPG, but I've got a couple characters and have been giving it a go. It's okay, but that's about all I can say. At a certain point, you absolutely need a group. I've been having difficulty in areas I'm overleveled for, by 10 levels, with my Controller Wizard (Vare Incubore - level 45). I've also got a Trickster Rogue (Rashka - level 20), but I'm keeping her leveled with my only friend who's playing it. And I have one free character slot, which I'll probably not fill. Like many MMO's, the game is kinda repetitive and not very exciting. It's the friends that make the experience, and without them to play with, it's pretty meh. Will probably still push to max level, just to say I gave it a fair go, but unless something drastic changes in the next 15 levels, I wouldn't really recommend it.

Thank You.

Next weekend I'm in Portland and Seattle. The following weekend is good. Unless there is a good weeknight.

Stay hydrated!

We don't need that kind of weather on the East Coast, though. No thanks.

You live in the desert. Don't point the weather toward the East Coast, point yourself toward the East Coast!

Or point yourself west, It was 100 here, but if you drive say 45 minutes west it was 63.

I would send rain your way, but flash floods are a common desert threat.

Move to the East Coast? :P

I just signed up to run seven different PFS scenarios for a local convention. *twitch*

You may not hear from me after July 13th.

I am going to teach you a new word to incorporate into your vocabulary.

That word is "no".

over how many days and how much time do you have to prep

It's over 3 days (2 on Friday, 3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday), and I have from now until the convention (July 11-13) to prepare.

Show up wearing this. Demand people sign contracts covered in demonic symbols before they can play.

I'm hoping to use the convention as a springboard for a PFS presence in the Piedmont Triad area.

Um, thus making more work for myself...

That might be an attractive idea on Sunday.

Also, I've never been inebriated while running a convention game, but that might change...

It will make up for the total of zero people I have signed up to play Doom Comes to Dustpawn over two sessions on the 28th.

I regularly GM my Skull & Shackles home game while pretty sauced up, though my players are usually equally pickled

Cons...I've done both, gone in pretty wasted when playing with good friends and sober as a judge when playing with strangers, acquaintances, specials/group events (Day of the Demon, Siege of the Diamond City, etc.) and horror shows like Bonekeep

I don't know if I could play or run Bonekeep sober. :)

One advice, from his wife actually. "We hired a good lawyer before going for a second round of court proceedings."

The girl was given inadequate care by her mother, though, so the friends decided to request full custody over her. I think that the mother's family was contesting this more than the mother herself...

Rawr! wrote:

I will absolutely agree that the Bonekeep events are not for everyone, even if you are into organized play

Job interview tomorrow, but over the phone they said that they could only guarantee between five and twenty hours per week. Wondering if I should even bother.

Its work, but your time shouldn't be wasted either.

Freehold DM wrote:

My typical experience at most jobs has been to start out at 3/4-time, then have my hours cut over the next few months to the point where I can't even afford gas to get to work. I'm thinking I probably won't take this one unless they pay stupidly well.

Here's hoping they pay stupidly well.

I'm sorry the jobs are treating you that way.

Reading second Agatha H(eterodyne). book. It contains lots of information that were not in the comic. Not to mention that it were ages since I read the early chapters and forgot lots of things.

It might not hurt to go to the interview. If the offer is no good, then you can say that word that CH was talking about earlier.
