There's something to be said for Denver, too.

I unexpectedly love the high plains and front range. It's so dry here that mold isn't a problem. Insects are few and far between. It's always cool at night. There aren't any hideous storms like there were in southwest Illinois (they were much worse there than across the river in St. Louis).

that sounds nice.....

Indeed, I could walk around naked without a problem in those conditions.

Of course, it's cool in the shade and UV-heavy in the sunlight, so a layer of sunscreen might be good. :P

I could play that.
Thank you. That means alot to me.

I have never played a paladin but with the whole no alignment thing it would be kinda kewl

Silver Crusade

It is a glorious day when it's a half day at work. Good Friday Indeed!

Silver Crusade

Although I may be converting to Bonchon soon.

Got to warch the local football team play their league opener in Division 4 North Västergötland (6th tier on the Swedish football pyramid) on the neighbourhood plasti-pitch (lots of rain lately).

A stable 2-0 victory against IFK Hjo (which the English speakers would spell "Yo" ) has me in a fine mood while frying bacon and mushrooms for dinner.

Well, it's not really NO alignment as much as the individual player chooses what the paladin in question has a "problem" with and what they idealize or hold up as sacred or important. I was very much inspired by OWOD Hunter: The Reckoning with respect to each person who "gets the call" is an individual first and foremost and might be very different from someone else who got the same "call". I wanted there to be more opportunity to be a different kind of zealot than just lawful good- which on at least one occasion for me, lead to a serious fight in game(mild debate out of game) as to which aspect a paladin was "supposed" to hold dear.

Silver Crusade

When I said no alignment thing, I meant not resticted to LG. I could see myself playing a CG or N divine hunter type.

Cool beans, man.

Im off today, I guess everyone else isnt.

Shadow Lodge

I'm off every day.

God night mode in this browser is beautiful. ...

Even the background is lovely.

I..I think I'm keeping this browser in night mode from now on, folks.

So for easter, I am doing a wine tasting excursion manana and then a sunday brunch.

Silver Crusade

I know nothing about wine except that i like it.

Silver Crusade

Should I swirl the wine in the glass, sniff it and make some comment like "absurd yet flaccid"

Only if you want a column in Wine Lovers' Digest.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

A novice once won a wine tasting contest by describing the taste of one white wine as 'opening a yellow umbrella in a warm summer rain'.

Wine is not the first thing that image brings to my mind, but then I'm a nasty person.

Silver Crusade

Review; the 2006 cabernet was quite absurd yet had a flaccid quality to it reminds me of 3 buck chuck(trader joe's reference)

Oh Yeah baby

Though I guess with a red wine, it would be a purple rain.

I truly love trader joe's box-o-wine. I may get some for easter this sunday. Hell, I may get the red and the white.

So how was everyone's Easter?

No, I just mistook Friday for the Easter day. Shows what I know about Easter itself.

Then again, considering how time zones work, I am in the future in comparison to America.

So, I really wanted a root beer float tonight. I bought the root beer when I was at the store, but apparently forgot the ice cream. Stupid of me.

I do sometimes, between my English skills and my I-Pad typing skills I have A LOT of spelling errors, and i try to corret at least enough of them to get my posts understandable
Don't sell yourself short. Your skill at writing in English is better than some Americans I know.

It's not hard, you know... :P

You know... Gothic looks differently than how I remembered it...

Oh, wait, it isn't Gothic! It's Risen!

Still, it feels like Gothic 2.0 (with a lots of feelings from Gothic II as well - ruined temples everywhere).

No wonder, though. It's a game from the same company made after they parted their ways with publisher of Gothic. Shows how dumb IP laws are if the publisher becomes owner of the IP instead of the creator. *sigh*
"IP laws exist to protect creators!" Right...

Anyway, if anyone liked Gothic, Risen is a game worth playing too.

I think that controls were improved but its quite long since I played Gothic.

Damn. Easter can mean a spammer bloom counting on moderators being absent.

Scarab Sages

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Saturday! Gonna be a beautiful, but busy, day today!

Scarab Sages

Spent last night putting stuff from IKEA together out in the garage, drinking a few beers out of my beer fridge! Woot!

Scarab Sages

Mmmmm......beer fridge.

Scarab Sages

All right, short and sweet. Have a good one people. And remember.....creepy goat eyes stare through your soul.

The assimilation process continues apace. Good. Good. *steeples fingers together*

Icyshadow wrote:

Lots of eggs, lots of fish, lots of meatballs, and plenty of Easter candy.

I am spending easter packing. Lovingly wrapping all my large + miniatures in newspaper and packing them in boxes. 12 boxes in now.........

And ended the evening by watching the excellent movie Känn Ingen Sorg.

Not really. I get real furniture whenever I can, but the IKEA stuff is cheap and something I don't mind exposing to my kids.

Scarab Sages

And it's been a busy day. Hit Walmart, Lowes and the dry cleaners this morning. Put gas in the truck and got it washed while I was out that way. Then I picked up lunch. After lunch it was putting together two chairs. Then I cleaned and re-organized my garage.

After all that, I cut my hair, cleaned myself up, and hit the grocery store with the boy. Now I'm home and the groceries are unloaded. After dinner I'll give the boy his bath, get him to bed, then go over to the old house and pick-up some more stuff. Once I get home from that I'll probably go ahead and unpack/reorganize stuff in new house.
