I wonder if the vampiric blood drain ability could be consider an act of passion for purpose of succubus energy drain ability? 1d4 Con damage, 1 negative energy level and suggestion to willingly subject oneself to another act of passion? Ouch.

One of my players is considering GMing something along the lines of CSI: Magnimar or CSI: Waterdeep... After I directed her toward corresponding Golarion and Forgotten Realm wikis she note that Golarion is appealing to her and has less lore bloat than Faerun which is a plus for someone who hadn't been sitting deeply in its lore before.

Hahaha... Well, you could always move to Austin.

First world problems...
I started playing just as the game went F2P. My first character reached level cap last month... I had a year-long hiatus due to my computer's failure however. I have six more characters waiting that will (probably) take a few more years (71, 57, 52, 42, 42, 23 or something like that) and I haven't unlocked Rune-keeper and Warden yet.
I admit I am a bit worried about incoming class revamp. From what I read developers are going to drop the trait set system and replace it with yet another boring talent trees... *sigh*

That's always the right answer, ain't it?

Good evening to all my FAWTLY Brethren. I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend. The wife and I went over to my older brother's house today with the kid. My younger brother, his wife, and three kids also came. There was much fun had by all.
Poor Charlie, though - he got eaten up by damn skeeters the first 20 minutes we were there. We put some off on him to prevent further attacks, but his poor little legs were covered with bites. Had to give him some children's Benadryl this evening.
But he had a blast with his cousins and wore himself out.

Grinding for some of the class deeds is really tedious but I like the traits system due to its potential for free customization instead of having to spend x points in a particular tree to unlock desired feature (assuming they will make those tree work like WoW, TOR, Rifts*, Diablo 2 or Torchlight).
*I only played with Rifts talent calculator and not the actual the game.

Fawesome! I work half-days on Friday, which usually means I'm out of the office by 1030.

We'll put it up in PIE. By we I mean Solnes, because I still don't know where I'm living. O.o

Also, some more good news from my life - we've got a serious offer on the house. Less than what we originally paid for it (but that was before the housing market collapse so no big surprise). Also less than our asking price. But a good chunk more than what we still owed on the house. So there's that.

You're living in Texas. What more is needed to be known?!?
By the way, I've learned that "Just down the road" can me something up to half an hour away here in Houston.

That is very good news in this market my zombie brother.

Indeed. The wife was worried for a bit. I knew we'd sell, but thought it would have to be for a lot lower.
Another plus - the buyer is a firefighter and Marine.

A few signs you might be living in Houston:
* You know how to pronounce Kuykendahl correctly - with an "R".
* Any set of directions you give involves the phrase "Now turn onto Westheimer" at least once.
* You can give someone four different street names and there are no turns involved - those are all more or less the same street.
* When faced with the choice of "Do I stay late at work or deal with rush hour traffic?", you choose the former.

There are days I'm tempted to do this even here in Chattanooga. And I don't even go anywhere near downtown.
Aberzombie wrote:I honestly don't see how anyone in their right mind could want to leave this awesome state.I've been trying to get there since I was 12.
It's second on my to-go-back-to list if I ever lose or leave my current job, which is really the only reason I have long-term plans to stay in Tennessee. (Which is, culturally, enough like Texas that it's still comfortable for me, if colder.)
And as much as Arizona is technically higher on the list - with Ebon and my brother living out there - the lousy job market there may mean going with Texas instead in that situation, just because getting a job would be more likely.
All that said, I really do like my current job, and have no plans at this time to leave, so moving out of state (not counting "just across the Georgia border but drive back to Chatt to work" as out of state for this purpose) is not really on the table at the moment =)

Moorluck & Solnes best wishes on your move to the Lone Star State. It's looking like FAWTLcon when organized will be in Houston, lol
AZ good to hear you are loving the move and congrats on selling. My wife and I are currently initializing preparations for moving within the next 18 months. Destination to be determined. I am hoping for Upstate NY or perhaps somewhere along Appalachia
Hope all is well folks

Never mind me. I am cranky because of LOTRO deprivation and going to sleep anyway.

I want to tell my Saturday GM whether I can make it to the Saturday game. Shall I come over Friday after work with BBQ? Or is Saturday better?

you also know how to pronounce Humble when it's a proper noun. O_o
Hint: no "H".

I'm off at 1600. Your new place is more or less directly between work and home.

I can give lots of directions that have nothing to do with Westheimer. Beltway 8 on the other hand...

I used to live on one of these streets.

Yeah, it was the job market that kept me here as opposed to going back home to Arizona many years ago.

That's good they should have plenty of $$$ then, along with good security.
Anyway happy holiday's to all those cross-Atlantic people.
