Morning, all. What did I miss?

Besides my clothes.

Silver Crusade

Fortunately, I actually quite snappily dressed, as I have a big meeting today.

Remember not to call for the meeting organizer's head. That kind of behavior gets one disinvited to future meetings...other than meetings with HR, that is.

I am an old hand at assembling those desks. I would love to give you a hand.

I wish you could. The drawer glide thingies won't attach where they're supposed to and it's kind of impossible to hold them properly in place while attaching them unless you're some sort of octopus. :/

Another case of poor directions. This would have been much easier to attach before assembling the frame. Sigh. There's always one thing I miss when skimming the directions before getting started.

Well, I am good with my hands....;)

hi everyone

Speaking personally, I do not believe it is possible to emphasize boobage too much. At least not in cartoon avatars. Although as Lynora pointed out, now I can't NOT notice, so my feelings may be moot.

:)

I have known friends in the real world who were so well endowed that physics caught up to them. ;P

I get into this debate on a regular basis with female friends- female members of my family have been well endowed and made it through life just fine. It's a losing battle for men, I guess, but I am not quick to jump on the surgery bandwagon in most cases.

today we will ginally see iron man 3

Hello, people. What'd I miss?

Spoiler:
Not the rain... I most definitely did not miss that. In fact, I arrived at work completely drenched and freezing cold. :(

I'll just wait for Urizen to have at the spoiler.

Well, Gary decided to make Holger his new bromance, leaving Scott to feel alone and unloved. Meanwhile, Max showed up to the big company meeting only to realize that he'd accidently grabbed his clown costume shoes. And, across town, Mike finally found out why that platypus had......No, wait! That's my soap opera!

Speaking with my father on Skype... Listening to his out-of-touch-with-the-world advice may cause headaches sometimes.

- Yeah, I sent an application for a nice job.
- You should go to them personally without waiting for invitation for an interview.

Yeah, like I shall pass the locked door that are opened with employee card and happen to catch the boss in his office without warning.

Yeah, I run into this conversation/argument with my dad all the time.

My boss just sent a meeting notice for about 20 minutes from now to discuss the impending furloughs.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...............

Understood, and agreed. (As a male it is usually safer to keep one's opinions to oneself WHATEVER the question is.) ;) But surgery is never going to be my first choice. (Although twice now it has probably/possibly saved my wife's life, but that's another story.) ;P

In the case of the particular friend i was thinking of, it wasn't a choice of 'To Surgery or Not to Surgery', but of 'WHICH surgery are you planning to have?' She was from a family of 'well-endowed' women-folk, most of whom had spine/back problems due their endowments.

Funny to all of her college friends at the time, even she laughed about it. But very serious choice for her all the same. (Says the now-older-and-wiser me) :/

Was that a laugh of Anticipation? Or Desperation?

I can never tell from here,... ;P

Today is not going as well as I might have hoped. :(

Sigh. Lots of little frustrations building up.....might be time for a nap. Or chocolate. Something.

Both. But not at the same time.

Chocolate first, then nap.

Then Chocolate. :)

If that doesn't work, then it IS a day gone bad! ;/

Silver Crusade

I went to Popeyes.

Eat your (unbeating) heart out, AZ.

In your fancy clothes???

I think that he laughs from incoming misery of others, himself free from concerns about furloughs.

Back from shopping.

3 kilos of apples, kilo of chicken livers, half kilo bread, 0,6 kilo of cheapest mortadella, 1 liter of ice cream plus 2 kilos of potatoes bought earlier. Must sustain me until the next week.

You quantify bread by weight?

Some bakeries sell bread by weight but generally no. It's just that this is a 0.5 kilo loaf while some other kinds of bread are formed into 0.6, 0.75, 0.8, 0.85 or 1 kg loaves.

BINGO! Unless a miracle happens, the furloughs for my outfit are scheduled to start on 8 July, which just so happens to be the day I start my new, private industry job down in Texas.

Again, I say BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...............

It was tasty.

My coworker and I noted the delightful irony of eating Popeyes right after we got out of a meeting with the ownership of a fitness center.

We made a pact that if anybody asked, we would tell them that we split a head of kale for lunch.

Of course, I broke that pact by posting on Paizo. Oh well.

I bet that feels good.

I remember all those years ago when I quit my job at a bank, they had to break the news to me that my temporary demotion was going to be permanent (my previous "higher position" was being dissolved), and I could only chuckle on the inside knowing that I was on my way out of that place.

If this is the case, then I cannot (by law) be jealous of you. I must instead congratulate you on your metaphorical thumbing the nose at the fitness/food nazis.

Indeed it does. Especially with the knowledge the dude who got the promotion which, if it had come my way might have convinced me to stay on longer, is nowhere near as productive as I am.

Ah but you haven't. No one asked. You simply provided the information yourself. =)

Sorry to hear that Lyn. I saw one of your frustrations. Zingow.

My frustrations are mounting today as well. I haven't felt this shitty and unhappy for ages. I think I am going to go play with my puppies.

No one asked you. You were supposed to reply with half a head of kale to those who would ask, not keep it a secret from us.

Also, teasing AZ is a moderately sufficient reason.

Silver Crusade

Okay, now I feel better.

(Technically somebody asked - the OP of the thread.)

The drake characters are all prepped for the adventure I'm running this weekend at a convention. Now to finish up the adventure where all those drakes will die. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

If anyone wonders about my reaction, s/he wasn't paying attention enough when I linked Polish pronunciation page.

Interesting. I didn't know about those drakes.

Kobold Press's drakes (so, basically, the latter plus others).
