I drink Pepsi and Coca-Cola with preference for Pepsi.
Likewise, except no real preference one way or the other. Having the brand-name drinks is a treat regardless - I normally end up with either RC Cola or Walmart brand cola because they're cheaper.

Are they actually any good in the States, as over here they are.... not*. Usually I end up getting orangeade, limeade or cloudy lemonade, if I want a fizzy treat.

*desperate understatement, to save the boards filters

I don't notice enough of a difference to consider it worth spending about twice as much (typically 80 cents to a dollar for store-brand 3-liter, around 1.60-1.80 for Coke/Pepsi products of same size).

I typically buy a bunch about every week and a half to two weeks. I normally grab one cola (sometimes two - one store brand, one RC), one Dr. Pepper knockoff, one Mt. Dew knockoff, and a thing of root beer, just all at once to save multiple trips.

Summary of the Wyld Hunt last night for Taig

Your monsters provided half the night's entertainment and were probably the toughest encounters. The middle one was a book-standard Water Orm with my own Dissonant Template on it, it lasted longer than the Elk Herd at least =) The pair of Carnage Tortoises lasted the longest, about five rounds in total. The Dissonant Orm lasted two, the lone Teleost lasted three (just long enough for the Incorporeality crit card Elegy drew to wear off).

Awesome! :D

I like your writeups, and I went back to read a few of the previous ones. Very colorful...

I was never able to fully grasp the appeal of watching soccer, football and most other team sports. There are always better things to do. Maybe except for women volleyball...

I just blasted the friggin neighbor.

Don't come into my yard with your fist raised hollering at my kid unless you want everyone of your teeth removed.

What caused that?

Nah. I played volleyball for a bit. It's just as boring.

Weddings are cool. Geek weddings are awesome!

The groom's vows were a take on a Green Lantern quote (I believe, I'm not a DC fan, so I may be wrong) and the bride's were a variation of the oath of the Night's Watch.

The groom's cake was a dragon fight diorama.

Very fun stuff over all.

I think he meant beach volleyball. ¬_¬

With the skimpy outfits and tiny tops (that had to be censored at the London Olympics), and if that's what you were playing; well I suppose Drejk might not purely be enjoying the game.

:P

the governing federation for beach volleyball has rules how much body you are allowed to cover with clothing - not a minimum cloth rule, a maximum of cloth rule!

me, personally, I always did enjoy a game pf normal volleyball more, it is the more interesting game and the clothing is not bad, either (I like the shorts) . and much more women on the field :-)

Haha, yeah, that was middle school, and I'm preeeeetty sure those outfits would not be allowed for twelve-year-olds.

In other news, chocolate chip pancakes will hopefully herald a less bluh workday than otherwise.

I hope so. Chocolate chip pancakes are one of my favorites!

Time to make dinner.

Entrecôte with a pasta-sauce made of cream, fried mushrooms, and sliced carrot.

I failed on my first run of Legacy of Fire...

Work and a chest cold and now 1000 plus replies later...,

Letting you know that I'm still here and I care.

Chocolate chip pancakes are nasty, especially with whipped cream.

I had the worst lunch at Smashburger the other day. The burger was crunchy, the avocado like rubber, and the fries overcooked.

I complained, and they gave me back the full cost (!) of the check (even for the others who didn't complain) and a free meal next time we go. Their regular manager was out and they were bewailing the replacement. She should be back after this weekend, so we'll give 'em another chance once she has had time to get the place straightened out.

Sounds like they at least handled their screwup well

And the important football final this week has begun well (once the smoke from fireworks set off by people who's a tad confused about what supporting your club means, had cleared) - 1-0 to Gothenburg by Tobias Hysen.

Who needs Arjen Robben?
