You are looking a little frosty Scintillae with that new avatar. Is that your winter avatar?

But stay frosty! We can't afford to let one of them G****!ned things in here.

My hands smell like buffalo sauce. Mmmmm......

Dude, this is a bad time for finger food.

Scarab Sages

Naah, they smell that way from the lunch I had. Even though I've since washed my hands, the smell of the sauce was very strong and still lingers.

But it lingers in a good way....

Scarab Sages

Unlike the smell that sometimes comes from my kid's diaper......

Am I the only one who doesn't like the smell of buffalo wings?

So excited for my boy's birthday tomorrow. Not sure if I mentioned it, but I got him this play table - it comes in 2 ft by 2 ft sections, 4 sections. So you can configure it to different shapes - a 48" by 48" rectangle, an "L" shape, a straight line, etc.

For now, we're just going to set up two sections in his room. That should give him plenty of space to set up some Thomas the Train tracks, or play Legos on. Also bought him another Lego Duplo set and some more Thomas tracks. And the wife ordered him a big set of Thomas the Train books.

Probably not. But don't worry. I forgive you.

Scarab Sages

Gonna make an NPC to temporarily assist the PCs in the Kingmaker campaign I DM. He's gonna be an Oread cleric - probably no specific god, just nature sort of. I'll give him the Earth Domain, and maybe either Animal or Healing. He's gonna be a hermit living in the mountains who is a friend of the centaur tribe the PCs befriended.

Scarab Sages

Miniblitz?

Scarab Sages

Don't mind if I do......

Scarab Sages

pauses to smell his hands

Scarab Sages

I think that's one of the weirdest things I've ever typed. Which is saying something, really.....

Scarab Sages

I have a cut on my knuckle. A very small one. And I'm not sure how it happened.

I have my suspicions.....

for a minute there, I thought your fingers just smelled like buffalo. Which would have been very... Different. [pinky]I mean, where would you get a buffalo at this time of day?[/pinky]

Scarab Sages

Because of the lingering cold weather we've had, my skin has been getting pretty dry. Especially my hands. I use lotion, but it doesn't help as much as I'd like.

I think my skin on the knuckle must have dried to the point where I brushed it up against something a bit to hard and it tore a bit.

Very annoying.

Scarab Sages

It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.

Little punk in the cubicle next to me wants to have a sit down about the meeting I'm going to miss tomorrow. Can't he see I'm miniblitzing?!?

I'm going to send some cupcakes with him to daycare. And my in-laws are flying in tomorrow, so there'll be four of us to celebrate that night. We'll take him out for pizza, probably. And give him a cake.

Well, as much as I'd love to stay and chat some more, I should log off and get back to doing stuff.

Did I say "chat"?

Should have said "post endlessly about everything and anything that pops into his head".

Scarab Sages

Anyway, later folks. Be good. And if you can't be good, be careful.

Fine, then, I'll miniblitz.

I have no idea what about.

Think I'm doing this wrong.

Doot de doo.

Yep, still nothing.

Hm, should I work on NPCs or play with building archetypes?

And if the former...motivations or mechanics?

The joy of homebrew. Work work work, math math math.

Roll an array or just give them a point-buy...

Or I could consider lunch.

Geography teacher may be the least rock n' roll teaching profession.

You'd think astronomy teacher would be up there as well, but not if you know your Queen members' extra-curricular activities.

And every history teacher I've ever had seemed to get an urge to drag in the boombox when it was time to talk about the 60's and 70's. The one in 7th and 8th grade was a pretty mean guitarist as well.

And while you're a student you think of the art-teachers as mild-mannered and a bit wet, but then when you come back as a teacher's temp you discover they're really frustrated bohemians who worships the punk greats and the DIY aesthetic.

Personally I'd prefer a boomstick to a boombox, though.
