I actually had today off. MArdi Gras holiday for the University. So I'm actually well-rested. For a change! ;P

However, it is Raining and cool here. I am SO not terribly interested in watching a MArdi Gras Parade in the rain and risking pneumonia just for some plastic beads. ;P

MAybe tomorrow,... ;)

Annnnnd, Good night FaWtL-ies! :)

Watching the Mardi Gras Parade naked in the rain?

Someone wants to collect all of the beads!

Eh, slept four hours instead of planned six. Tired.

Scarab Sages

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! It looks to be a semi-decent day, weather-wise, here in Philthadelphia. I hope everyone has an awesome day.

Scarab Sages

Poor Hattiesburg, MS and the University of Southern Mississippi - got hit by a bad tornado the other night. I went to school there for a bit. That's where I joined my fraternity.

Luckily, as far as I know, no one I know was hurt of killed. Some house damage here and there, but that's it so far.

Scarab Sages

And....WOOT!! Got my Hero Lab onto the new computer and working properly. Their customer service rocks!

Last night I made up three dwarven characters for the Wednesday night game I'm joining. It's using PF rules, but set it FR. Luckily, I have plenty of material covering both.

It'll be a rotating DM job, so eventually I'll get to run...something...for them. Might convert the Yuan Ti to PF and use them. Maybe the Shades as well.

So, my dwarf characters - gotta decide which one I'll play. Fighter, cleric, or ranger.

The ranger is based off the Harsk mini. He fighter and cleric are based off the Wizkids Dwarf fighter mini.

I look forward to wreaking much havoc with one of them.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I really need to play a dwarf again, then again playing real-life games of Pathfinder is nearly impossible.

Heheh, I've used half the work day writing up notes on how to build my campaign world.

I'm still struggling with what the pantheons and nations should look like for each continent, though...

They're only the most awesome of PC races. I don't care what that James Jacobs guy says.

He's kinda shifty anyway.

Scarab Sages

All right folks! Gotta get some stuff done.

Which area of Faerun?

I cut out Sarukh and replaced them with serpentfolk and use Nagaji as replacement of Yuan-Ti, more or less.

Next session the party will fight against renegade half-dragon fetchling, er, shade and his umbral dragon brother.

It's kinda sad, I know, but right now I could probably go about a month without minding one bit if I had to listen to the new Veronica Falls album non-stop. Probably doesn't hurt that it sounds like about half of my favourite bands did when I was 15.

Good morning FAWTLians. Another day, another 100-odd items baked. Now to do the same for the baker.

*poof*

Funny how this THING gave me ideas and nightmares at the same time.

Nightmares? I watched pictures of deep ocean fishes when I was five. I never had nightmares about them.

Silver Crusade

Deep ocean stuff is hella cool.

Silver Crusade

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Silver Crusade

It has been work, work, and more work for this celestial. I want a vacation.

If you don't like it, don't read the damn article for chrissake!

why would someone have a problem with a women's soccer team? They can kick the ball too.
According to some (men), girls aren't allowed to do sports unless they can physically match men. So clearly we're not talking about the brightest members of the species here.

That's nonsense. Women should be able to play whatever sport they want.

Despite the ribbing and insults I got aimed at me, I loved Lingerie League Football. I look forward to it's return as the more serious Legends Football League.

I dream of intergender sports competition one day.

Is that anything like He Man?

teleports CH to a deserted yet pleasantly warm island with a solar powered ipod that has his favorite songs, plumbing, a firepit, a filleting knife, and a fishing spear

Sorry, you're gonna have to do your own fishing.

Silver Crusade

Fishing in a warm location would actually be okay.

That said, I'm terrible at catching fish, so I would probably be hungry after a while.

Scarab Sages

Mrgh.

hi everyone

Waking up from the nap.

2,078 new posts? No one has time for that.

I just hopped on long enough to read an informative post by Sebastian on how to craft effective paragraphs. Hope you're doing well, folks that I don't get to encounter on bookface. :)

Now back to my perfunctory rule 34 Pinterest feed.

Dang it, now I need a name for my deep sea fishfolk who possibly worship the Lovecraftian Outer Gods in some form while trying to keep Nyarlathotep away from the campaign world through said worship. How does that work? I have no idea!!

Ceratiidans?

Were you channeling a little bit of Sweet Brown there?

Sovereign Court

I don't want to be at work anymore. I want to be reading my new booooook.

Actually I thought maybe something like Chal'dun but I'm not sure if it has that Lovecraft feel to it.

Lemurians?

Ah yes, that guy. I saw that picture earlier somewhere.

I like Chal'dun, actually. Apostrophe optional, I think it flows just as well with or without (presuming that you treat apostrophes in Lovecraftian as a hard, sharp stop, as I always have - so Chaldun versus Chal-Dun). How is that pronounced? Ch as in Charge or Ch as in Christmas?

Either way it has a noticeable similarity to "Chaldean" and a lot of Lovecraft lore focuses on that Middle-eastern area so I think it works.

I have no idea how you show pronounciation stuff in written form.

Goes past my mind just like geometry does.

goes to Jess Door's job as a visitor, passes her a picnic basket with a loaf of bread that has the book baked into it

Um,... I wasn't, actually,...

BUT, that was then, this is now! :)

*morning yawn*

I had lots of dreams I can't recall... :(

Sorry to hear that Drejk, at least they weren't nightmares or your mind was devoid of inspirational thoughts during the somnambulant times.

Although hope your day becomes more memorable (for the good reasons).

I had at least three separate dreams, each with its own plot. I remember the dreaming but I can't remember them in form coherent enough to be enjoyed after waking.

Scarab Sages

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Wednesday? Maybe. Not sure yet.

Scarab Sages

The wife was up early today with an upset stomach. Problem was, she spent an hour getting ready before deciding that she was going to stay home and take some sick leave.

SERIOUSLY?!? After an hour, you decide this?!?

Scarab Sages

But....I still got to work a half-hour earlier than I expected to. So there's that.

Scarab Sages

And, I'm supposed to go over to my buddy's house tonight to join their (mostly) weekly Pathfinder game.

But it's supposed to snow.

And my buddy picked up some beer for me that I've been wanting to try.

But he and the other guy that invited me to this game have been really bugging the s+## out of me regarding the character I'll be playing.

Scarab Sages

See, it's like this....

When they invited me, I right away got it in my head to play a dwarf fighter. I told them this. They said that was cool. Then one of them suggested maybe I'd want to look at playing a ranger. I said I'd think about it.

I have two Wizkids PF dwarf minis - the dwarf fighter and Harsk. I planned to roll up characters based on each one. I did so. Also rolled up a dwarven cleric, just for s~$@s and giggles.

I mentioned all this in an email to the guys. Since then they've gone bat s~!$ annoying telling me how to optimize the character, and that maybe I should go with the ranger, and use these weapons, and take these feats, oh and change him to human since that works better.

After awhile, I just stopped responding to their emails. They continued on merrily for awhile back and forth to each other, making sure to at least CC me.

They've stopped for now. But, good lord, it made me almost reconsider participating.
