I start to suspect computers hate me instead of reciprocating my love...

The windows does not detect the graphics card on the laptop.

Also the windows refused to activate...

Superstar voting complete.

Is the desire to have decent computer with stable system too much?

How easy is getting one's mood soured from great to poor...

Apparently so. You're not alone, believe me. We're struggling to get one of our machines back up.

A partial success! I found working graphics drivers.

I won't bother with solving the ridiculous windows activation issue now... I'll have twenty nine days for it.

I should go to sleep.

Instead I started installing Star Wars The Old Republic...

Installing TOR after three o'clock might be not a best idea of mine recently.

I don't have the patience for computers. The instant they start messing up, I start getting violent.

All the computers here are glitching. Kinda funny sitting here and waiting.

Scarab Sages

Good morning to all my FAWTLY brethren. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

Scarab Sages

Good game last night. Started off kind of lopsided, but got better in the second half.

Scarab Sages

Half-time show sucked ass.

Scarab Sages

And then we had a bit more snow last night. Just a bit though.

Scarab Sages

And this morning the coffee machine is OOC. So, I'm drinking a Dr. Pepper instead.

Scarab Sages

Tomorrow I think I'll just bring in my own damned coffee pot.

One good thing this morning - when we dropped the boy off at daycare he didn't cry! Huzzah! Progress!

Scarab Sages

We have cellphone signal boosters in our building, but I'm beginning to suspect they may have turned them off.

It may be an attempt, in light of certain budgetary problems, to save money.

Or, it may be managements way of discouraging employees from bringing their phones into the office.

Scarab Sages

I find that I really don't want to be at work this morning.

It looks like it may be new computer time.

woes:

The HP model we have has all sorts of known problems and appears to be a lemon. This is the problem we're having; the damned thing won't even go to the boot menu or BIOS setup at IPL - most of the time. And when it does, it stops during Windows 7 IOS load with an I/O error on the new disk drive. Our efforts almost exactly match this guy's and there's no apparent fix beyond motherboard replacement. I might try that but have never done it before, so may go for a new one to get up and running before playing with this POS.

Out Of Character? How rude. Tell it to stop meta-complaining about its role and keep brewing java!

Apparently, when the first guy to arrive plugged it in, the damn thing was smoking. So he unplugged it and put the warning sign on.

Since then someone cleaned it up and cleaned it out. Because when I walked past I saw the remnants of a fresh pot. I quickly consumed said remnants, then brewed another pot and had a fresher cup.

Alright, time to get to serious work. Byebye Paizo. Cya laterz FAWTLfolk.

Oh I don't know,...

We have smoked ham, smoked turkey,... why not smoked coffee?
:)

(I mean, it's not like it can hurt the stuff. It's essentially 'burnt water', I don't know WHY i'm addicted to the stuff!) ;P

Well, it's official. I have introduced my boyfriend to Pathfinder. His level 1 druid laid waste to some marauding pyramaniacal goblins.

I'm just trying to shake the mental image of a coffeepot with a cigarette taped to the side.

Well,...

Drejk & Treppa were last seen beating their respective Computers into submission with a baseball bat, AZ's attempt at his usual early morning overcaffination was interrupted by a coffeepot with a bad smoking habit, forcing him to seek solace in the arms of his other mistress, the bubbly and effervescent Doctor of Peppers, but his coffeepot promised to clean up it's act if he would only come back and give it another chance,...

Wait, I think That's AZ's soap opera!

I have got to get back in shape.

Yeah that would have me turning into the Incredible Freehold. Is there noone at hp you can throttle for this? There should be computer lemon laws along with car lemon laws.

Of course it's a shape!

Actually, it's pretty much always my shape. No matter how physically fit I might be, I am still always round. That's just my body type. But I am working on reducing my circumference. :)

If only you could reduce pi then that would reduce it...

Setting up a joke for you lot.

I prefer to claim potato-shaped. I yam what I yam, after all.

Diane's HP turned out to be a very expensive lemon too.

We used to buy their products when they used to build something that wasn't crap.

Diane use to be an engineer there, but they laid her off to off shore every thing to third world countries.

Well, Scott's day started off in a bad way, when a coffee pot explosion led to the evacuation of his office complex. Meanwhile, Steve found Diane's computer engineering background handy when the pair became trapped in a state-of-the-art automated home model by a computer virus. And, across town, Gary and Max were attacked by a yam-throwing....No, wait! That's my soap opera.
