Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Such a gloriously awesome morning it was. Got up and spent some time with the boy, just goofing around and watching Thomas the Train on mommy's Kindle Fire. When it was time to leave later on, I grabbed my Saints ball cap, and he grabbed my other ball cap to put on his head.

Then I got in the car to come to work.

But it's all good. I got to catch up with a work buddy regarding awesome movies coming out: Pacific Rim and Man of Steel.

Prior to my journey home, I thought about asking the wife to pick me up a pack of Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage so I could make red beans and rice last night. Forgot to ask, but when I got home I saw a pack of sausage in the fridge - she had anticipated me!

Sadly, it was the wrong kind of sausage. It was Hillshire Farm Beef Smoked Sausage. An important difference! The beef version makes the red beans come out very greasy and oily - and the one time I used it I ended up with an upset stomach.

Needless to say, I threw that crap away.

So now I haven't had red beans since before Thanksgiving. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!

I really should have a stack of bread and cheese in my office. Then again, there is a reason why I no longer keep stacks of tasty things in my office: They never last long enough for them to become a "stack".

Damn. I have half a bread but nothing to add to it (beyond tea to wash it after eating). If your office wasn't half the world away I would probably raid it for some small bottle of oil to pour on my bread. :(
