RPG Superstar 2012

I know I still need a lot of work to improve on my own craft. Practice helps, though. :)

Practice of naked crafts?

RPG Superstar 2012

I got a +2 circumstance bonus on my Craft checks.

Believe me, it became a nightmare for a day or two when someone took it as an invitation.

Yeah, like that time when that guy Urizen showed up....

...and Callous Jack
...and Moorluck
...and Solnes
...and, and, and...

waits patiently for them to take the invitation. OK, so maybe not a nightmare...

Cool. Good luck, Orthos!

Let's see...advice...I apologize if I'm telling you stuff you already know. :)

If you're submitting something "cold," my suggestion would be to make sure you know your audience and that what you're submitting fits in with their products. Also, make sure you have someone you trust edit your work before you submit it. Your ability to follow the game's rules and write coherently make your first impression. A cool idea will not get you very far if an editor or developer has to spend a bunch of time rewriting your work.

If you have a deadline, make absolutely sure you turn it in on time. If you know you can't make the deadline, make sure you tell your editor as soon as you know you can't make the deadline.

I'm not sure if that helps any, but generally speaking it's pretty basic stuff.

It's appreciated. I've never done anything like this before, and really have no idea what I'm doing in a big way. Nothing's official yet, but there's a door that might be opened.

And I'm nervous as heck, heh.

RPG Superstar 2012

You have plenty of talented people in this thread who can help with editing. I know Treppa has helped me out a few times, for example.

If you put the word out, I'm sure people will be happy to help. :)

The nervousness is completely understandable. I hope the opportunity works out for you!

I wonder if my homebrew stuff counts as content.

Then again, I write a lot of stuff on my free time anyway.

Same.

I'm pretty sure I could delete the last five words of that sentence. :P

Holidays generally involve family and I find I appreciate my family best from a distance. ;)

Though I am trying to come up with a plan to make the holidays not awful this year. It might work this time, you never know.

I, too, am determined to make the holidays not suck.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Interview yesterday went well, I think. The interviewer asked some illegal questions, but I think that was due to his inexperience conducting interviews. I hope that doesn't come back to bite him someday. It seems like a nice firm, so we'll see how it goes.

*blink*

Morning all

I find the holidays are best enjoyed with the family at greeting card distance. Fortunately, most of my family feels the same.

I also enjoy buying lots of fun stuff, shameless consumer that I am. I enjoy buying stuff for my wife more than getting stuff. There's nothing more gratifying than getting her something she loves, and also didn't expect.

*sigh*

That being said, my finances are a bit squeezed this season. I expected to be able to work full time, and I had conducted my spending patterns thusly before the implosion of our nursing hours forced me to cut back to part time.

Ah well, it's the spirit of the season that's important, no? Saturn will have to deal with less propitiation this Yule.

Augh! Online lectures malfunctioning again. >.<

Going to Ikea later today to buy some new dishes. Looking forward to it. I do love that store. :)

Good luck CH!

3 hours until game time. Tonight we start book 6 of Rise of the Runelords. I think it's going to be a great session.

Kill them all! Bury their bodies and burn their possessions!

Just finished a session of Kingmaker earlier.

The Ranger's player actually rolled three 20's in a row.

It was amazing, since he rolled critical hits like crazy today.

Hollandaise sauce was a success!

Mmmm... Fatty...

Computer reformat now finished. Software installation ongoing. ~sighs~

Any particular reason for format?

My guess is a bad download and / or a virus. ~shrugs~ OTOH, it was starting to get to that time. I am just mad at myself for not having backed up my links.

goood morning FaWtL,

yesterday we where swimming with my best friends and their kids including my godson,

he made his first swimming batch last week, the "Seepferdchen" (Seehorse-y) by jumping from the side of the pool, swimming 25 meters and divimg to recover a ring in chest deep water

the little guy is migthy proud of himself, sadly his seehorse-badge to stitch on the swimming trunks has not jet arrived, he would have been king of the kiddie pool with it :-)

Polish Independence day.

I am going for Dark Heresy session in two hours.

And weather is beautiful. Sun is shining. Sky is white-blue. Some random dog rustles in the dried leaves on the lawn.

Off to session. Time to kill some heretics. Or at least our party's newly revealed psyker.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

I'm rather enjoying my quiet weekend, although it goes by so quickly.

Well, Friday was hanging out with you.

Yesterday was a full day as I went to manhattan with my friend to see the MLP Season 3 premiere, donate a little bit to charity thereby, and then had two WONDERFUL random encounters on the way home running into old friends. Picked up pastries in both the Chinese and Italian variety, and then went home and passed out.

What does today hold for me, I wonder...Probably laundry.

Would that it had arrived!

THE WORLD LEADER!!!!!

Bleh. Being tired all weekend is no fun.

And in about 45 minutes Fernando Torres will probably score the only goal of the match, making this Sunday a complete wash-out.

Actually, make that John Terry, while I was writing.

...at least we're passing the ball nicely in midfield.

Pumpkin panckaes and pumpkin spice coffee. Mmmm.

Now for the less pleasant part of my weekend...trying to finish all this homework. And of course everything is due tomorrow and Tuesday. I think I shall be loading up on math classes next term. I need the break. And I'm seriously thinking of changing my major to math anyways. Sorry, FHDM. I know your hatred of all things math. But look at it this way, if people like me who like it take care of all the math stuff, you don't have to. :)

I think I need to make scones later to use up the rest of the coconut milk. Since my whole family is lactose intolerant I use coconut milk in place of milk in baked goods. Had to open a can to make the pancakes. Technically not baked, but same idea. :)

My coffee mug is orange. This makes me happy.

It matches my shirt. Apparently I was in an orange mood today.
