This must be stopped. I'm against Disney owning too much of anything- they're almost as bad as Warner Brothers with respect to never releasing ANYTHING unless there's a gigantic profit to be made.

I really hope it doesn't.

Pardon my French.
That she does. This is delaying our dessert bar plans.
At which, I will be naked, of course. How else would it be dessert?
I have a job interview tomorrow afternoon in Midtown. You free in the late afternoon or in the evening?

Actually... I might just be. It depends on how the trains are running- it took me waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long to get home yesterday, although this was my very first time in Manhattan since the storm hit.

I just,... improved upon the concept,... :D
LOL.. Murphy the Halfling hardhead?
Marconi the kobold crime boss? That's OK, I have some fun to run Justin through once I digest the feel og the books....
Heh,... Heh,... Well,... I'm not always such a genius when it comes to new NAMES,... <Coughs nervously>
What can I say? If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I'm a flattering fool! :D
Although I actually think that making Marconi's bodyguard Hendricks into a gargoyle was one of my more inspired adaptations. ;)

It was just maddening because yesterday every weather forecast on Long Island said 45 and rainy with an overnight low of 38.
The daytime high was 30 and we got 3 inches of snow. If I was that wrong at my job I would get fired. The snow caught everyone, including transit officials, completely off guard. As of yesterday evening, the weather forecasters were still in denial, saying it was raining out, when anyone for miles around could look out their window and see the snow accumulation.

heh, Actually, I haven't gotten to her yet.
At the time, I figured that riffing off of Harry, Murphy, Marconi, Hendricks and Thomas was enough theft,... er, INSPIRATION for one day! :)Although now that you mention it,...
Is there a character class called 'Bad-A$$'? :)
Seriously, I made Murphy a halfling, Marconi a Kobold, and Hendricks a Gargoyle, I just don't know what to make Gard. Other than what she actually is in the books.
(Not posting spoilers here!)
Although that WOULD make sense in a Planescape game! :)

So, when I paid off my car two years ago, I got the title from the bank in the mail. I was searching for tht title, because I need to hand it over to the insurance company if they total the car...and I must have lost it in the move. So I'm scrambling trying to figure out where it's titled (still in Michigan), and what I need to do to prove it's paid off...
::sigh::
My mom totally came through this morning, going to the Michigan DMV and getting a title for me. Thank goodness for small favors!

Well, maybe not. since the bank is still listed as lienholder (eventhough I'm getting a release from lien form) the insurance company may insist I get a new updated "released from lien" title. Dunno. I'll work with what I have though. :) and cross my fingers!
Send me a mail if you want on technical crap. I may be able to help (and may not! hehe).

It's the same trouble as always. >.<
Unless you know how to make Visual Studio find a file that is right frigging there in the folder, in the project, listed under source files, that it still swears it can't find, I'm totally screwed. *sigh* At least it stopped thinking that int main() was a fatal error. :/Jess Door |

Is it set up as a reference? Is it a class file?
Worse comes to worst, zip up the entire folder the project lives in and email it to me.
I might be able to untangle it, or at least have some ideas. :)

Back from IP provider office. They can't extend the time to pay the bill because blocking internet service is done by automated system. However, it is not 100%, because it might or might not cut me off immediately, instead it might wait a bit beyond the stated time. So if I stop posting on Saturday or Sunday or Monday then it will mean the system kicked in and blocked me before the money reached IP Provider account.
I have to go to the post office now and make a remittance for as much as I can but it almost certainly won't reach their account before Monday and it still isn't the whole sum. I had to buy food that will let me live at least to Saturday, however... Well, damn the food, I have tea. But how long sugar will last? Saturday? Sunday, perhaps?

How's this: When I bought my car, the dealer screwed up the paperwork and I have a clean title even though there is a lien. If I was a bad person, I could sell my car with a clean title and walk away from the loan. I'm not a bad person, though, and don't want to kill my credit.

That sucks, sorry to hear that. I've never understood why internet providers outside the US limit the usage.

Will do. I have nothing to turn in today. Again. Being another class late with this won't hurt my grade any more than not having input. Tried that last time, ended badly. Hopefully I will have lots of code for him on Tuesday. :)

Limit? No, I just hadn't the money to pay the bill in time. I've 30 Mb/s (incoming) for 66 zl/month (about $21) with no limit. It would be 59/month if I'd sign a contract for a year but I preferred not to enter any such commitment without having my finances stabilizing a bit.
Ah, misunderstood. I've had quite a few Canadian and Australian friends complaining about hitting their ISP's bandwidth/data limit and having their internet cut off until the end of the week/month/whatever, thought this was the same kind of issue.

Any news on the job front, Drejk?
Automated system at Aon Hewitt notified me that they are again looking for Pension Scheme Administrator, which I applied for in May. I sent my application again and I am waiting for the response. Soon after I applied a friend asked me if I would want to go to another city for temp work lasting two weeks... Exactly those two weeks I should be here in Kraków in case Aon Heweitt HR would contact me and invited for Assessment Center session :/
Great timing, just great.
I decided to take a chance for a permanent job and remained in Krakow waiting for the contact.

I really hope it works out for you, Drejk!
A good friend here in Houston brought a buddy into town from Las Vegas for a job. He's just gotten a lease and a car...and they called everyone in for a mandatory meeting (those are never good): they almost closed my friend's entire plant down (he's head of operations), but they opted instead to only shut half of it down. My friend's freind who just entered all those commitments got let go.
::sigh::
it really sucks. My friend has twins on the way, and his wife is on doctor mandated bed rest, so the though of him losing his position was especially scary! :(

That's more or less the job I do (not at Aon Hewitt - I did apply there once upon a time though). I hope it works out.

The market's relatively strong in Houston, though, isn't it? I hope he finds something else soon. If he does, the lease and car won't have been in vain.
