What about time zones? Should they be taken into account during the countdown?

Welcome back Pat!

And hello Icy, :)

I've been diagnosed with some undefined anxiety issues and depression, if that info helps.

Not an expert, and you should definitely address these concerns with a professional. That said, I think you just gave the answer. It's a common misconception to think that depression is about sadness. It often comes with irritability and mood swings.

Ugh, sorry, dragon. That sucks. :(

50 proof nog? Lightweights.

My alcohol tolerance is better than it was, but I admit that it is still pretty low. At least I'm a cheap date. ;P

When the Stars are Right, they will be Right in ALL time zones! Even the ones that can't see them!

Bah. In the few Hollywood interviews I've bothered to look at, the stars are rarely right. We're fine.

From the film, weren't they an all powerful decadent race, who had lost all of their tech knowledge apart from Gummi-berry juice. And in it the found some of their lost civilisation.

I don't recall hints of them being decadent. As far as I remember (up to third season, later seasons might have explained more) they were ancient race that was generally pushed out of their lands by encroaching humans (but they lived next to each other as friendly neighbors for some time, until humans expanded too much). There were some enclaves of remaining gummi bears left behind, guarding old constructions, abandoned cities, etc. The main characters lost access to the remaining technology and magic because their ancestors lost the amulet that opened the great book containing gummi bear lore (magic, history, notes about remaining artifacts workings and location).

Silver Crusade

Now I have a craving for gummi bears.

I have decided that I shall re-read the entire series, (including Side Jobs) before the new release. I have been averaging one book every two days. I started book 6 this morning. If I maintain that average time for each book, I should be done a few days before the release. :)

And I must say, re-reading them all back-to-back has been extremely enjoyable and informative. They just make SO much more sense when you read them all in a row fast enough to not forget the little details from previous books! :D

I finished my read-through about a month and a half ago. I've been filling the gap with Discworld and Vorkosigan.

I created Gwyn for our upcoming CoT game deliberately as a chance to play Harry. Went Words of Power, even got a "familiar" - a spirit living in a coin - to be her "Bob". Higher STR and CON, decent WIS, lower INT than usual for a caster, to play up a lack of formal education and street-smarts replacing it, and reliance on Bob (Tlavyn in Gwyn's case) to fill in the knowledge gaps she doesn't have the INT or the skill points for. High Sense Motive and Intimidate... no Bluff or Diplomacy at all.

By mostly coincidence we ended up with a dreadfully-low-CON Vivisectionist, a high-CHA Rake Rogue, and an Aasimar Paladin as her partymates.

So basically the party is Fem-Harry, Butters, Thomas, and Murphy. I believe you'll meet Thomas in book 3, and Butters around 5 or 6.

Because it can't ever be that simple. I hate it too.

At least the wednesday is almost over.

That's not a good thing. After Wednesday comes horrid, awful Thursday.

Thursday is Kingmaker night. Bring it on.

One day closer to the weekend.

I'm still sort of dreading the welcome of the new guy into my Kingmaker crew.

He's got a level 6 Fighter/Barbarian ready, but I fear he'll either be too strong or too weak.

Also, note to self when it comes to my own players.

Never, EVER let the guy who laughs like a maniac play a Witch.

If he takes the Cackle hex and RPs it, he'll scare away the entire table.

Mhhahawahhahaaaa!

He seriously sounds like the Joker on crack when he laughs.

Problem is, he tends to laugh out really loud in those situations.

*blink*

Morning FAWTLies

Another day, another big-ass storm pounding our region.

I think it is time to relax and read the last bit of Cloud Atlas

Everyone take care

*blink*

I've got a pretty decent evil laugh myself. I don't use it when playing my Witch though, since mine's female and my evil laugh goes to the closest I can get to bass range.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I don't think I have an evil laugh, but my group informs me I have an unsettling giggle that works just as well.

I just grin. Loud laughter is not my style. At least not until that old players of mine assemble and leave me lying on ground suffocating on my own laughter with their antics.

So I've made two sales instead of one at work today so far.

Also, after a big leap downward, my mood is slowly getting better.

I feel like I've been forgotten by my creator.
