the real holiday is on my birthday they are just taking this day off for some reaason.

I don't get the day off but if I did I would rather get Friday off because of less traffic.

Oh, today is Columbus Day? And Canadian Thanksgiving?

Well a great day for those of you that celebrate it.

well, then happy columbus day, America

Silver Crusade

I don't think anybody actually celebrates Columbus Day. It's more like a random bank holiday that people cling to for long weekend purposes. (Not me, however. I have to work.)

In general:

"What? Oh yeah. We need a day off because in fourteen-hundred ninety two, Columbus sailed the ocean blue... yadda yadda. Any good sales at Macy's this weekend?"

For my sweet 16, my father sent me a dozen roses, so he would be the first man in my life to do that.
That's incredibly sweet, and a tough act to follow. What do you have in mind for her, Taig?

Well, I will be taking her out to dinner tonight, since my wife works until 10, and we will be going laptop shopping. Plus, this weekend, we're all going to Universal Studios.

goes on a rant

an off-list rant that is.

From our lives' beginning on,
We are pushed in little forms;
No one asks us how we like to be.
In school they teach you what to think,
But everyone says different things!
But they're all convinced that they're the ones to see!

So they keep talking and they never stop,
And at a certain point you give it up!
So the only thing that's left to think is this:

I want out! To live my life alone!
I want out! Leave me be!
I want out! To do things on my own!
I want out! To live my life and to be free!

People tell me A and B,
They tell me how I have to see
Things that I have seen already clear.
So they push me then from side to side,
They're pushing me from black to white;
They're pushing till there's nothing more to hear!

But don't push me to the maximum -
Shut your mouth and take it home!
'Cause I decide the way things gonna be:

I want out! To live my life alone!
I want out! Leave me be!
I want out! To do things on my own!
I want out! To live my life and to be free!

There's a million ways to see the things in life,
A million ways to be the fool;
In the end of it, none of us is right!
Sometimes we need to be alone....

No! No! No! Leave me alone!

I want out! To live my life alone!
I want out! Leave me be!
I want out! To do things on my own!
I want out! To live my life and to be free!

I want out!

Well, happy random day off Americans.

As for me, I'm now only 11 hours away from 3 weeks off. Yay!

Remind me to use that more often.

Only when the spell description says "It gives you a riddle as an answer."

Arguably, this song is more applicable given the month.

Mornig folks.

Beautiful autumn weather returned after sunday intense rain. Which is good because I hadn't got wet yesterday. And today I am going for boardgame evening so it would be good if it stay that way. Actually, this is the kind of weather I prefer so it could stay that way for a few years...

Morning, it's cold here - even if the sun is out.

Board games too tonight, well "Tales of the Arabian Nights" & cocktails. Hopefully I'll do better than last time, where as Sinbad, I was sex-changed, then captured & used by pirates and thrown over-board. Where I died in a game when it's virtually impossible to do so.

The Exchange

brrrrrrrrrrrrr

The Exchange

Too early. Need sleep. Must stay awake.

The Exchange

Why don't you listen to me when I try to talk to you
Stop thinking of yourself, for just a second fool
Shut up, shut up, I don't wanna hear your mouth
Your mother made a monster, now get the hell out of my house

Can't stand it for another day
I ain't gonna live my life this way
Cold sweat, my fists are clenching
Stomp, stomp, stomp the idiot convention

Which one of these words don't you understand
I'm Caught in a Mosh!
Talking to you is like clapping with one hand

What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!

Don't tell me how to do my job
There's the door, your name's on the knob
You're always in the way, like a beast on my back
Were you dropped as a baby, cause brains you lack

Can't stand it for another day
I ain't gonna live my life this way
Cold sweat, my fists are clenching
Stomp, stomp, stomp, the idiot convention
Which one of these words don't you understand?
I'm Caught in a Mosh
Talking to you, is like clapping with one hand

What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!

Think-before you speak
Or suffer for your words
Learn, to give respect
That others, give to you
AAAAAAAAAAAh, The best you can do

Hey Man!
I'm trying to reason but you don't understand
Talking in circles, we'll never get it straight
Just you and me in our theatre of hate
Can't stand it for another day
I ain't gonna live my life this way
Cold sweat, my fists are clenching
Stomp, stomp, stomp, the idiot convention
Which one of these words don't you understand?
I'm Caught in a Mosh!
Talking to you is like clapping with one hand

What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!

The Exchange

Some days you have just got to go hard core old school.

The Exchange

Through the mist of not so distant future years
Comes a killer with a frame of steel
Though he may look like any other man
Something about him just isn't real

With the strength of one hundred mortal men
He stalks the city streets for you
With eyes that focus like a zoom in camera lens
There's nothing you can do

[Chorus]
Cyborg lust
Program - to terminate
Cyborg lust
Come to seal your fate

Man's technology caused this bloody war to wage
Computers try to take control
Laser blasts fill the smoky skies with rage
Mechanical beings fight with soul

The death machine is sent back in time to kill
The one who will teach us all to fight
Onto this Earth a young woman's blood must spill
To complete the program he will kill on sight

[Chorus]

Cyborg lust
Cyborg lust

Refrain 1st verse & Chorus
Terminate, Terminate, Terminate...

Good morning FAWTLY Folk!!! Happy Tuesday!!! I hope everyone's day goes better than my morning currently is.

Scarab Sages

Stuck in traffic. Normally, we'd have arrived at work about 10-15 minutes ago.

Scarab Sages

And, since my wife is driving, we are of course stuck behind two or three big trucks.

Scarab Sages

And in the slowest lane.

Scarab Sages

But, on the positive side, at least I can keep myself occupied.

Scarab Sages

Soooo.....it's looking like miniblitz time.

Scarab Sages

Well, I had been considering a submission to that Wayfinder thing, but sadly that's not going to happen. The map looks pretty cool, though.
