Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Friday! A bit gloomy and rainy here in Philly. In fact, I was woken up by the rain this morning.

Scarab Sages

Stoopid rain.

Scarab Sages

Mmmm.....coffee.

As I recall, Taig is (thankfully) down in NC. I believe that BT is from the Denver area however. Hope he and all his people are safe.

Scarab Sages

Was looking forward to my buddies neighborhood block party tomorrow, but now the forecast is calling for rain.

Ditto. Alarm was accompanied by a noticeable grumble of thunder. Not hard rain, but good and constant.

Hope it goes all day, I like being able to have my blinds open in the office and the instant the sun comes out gotta close 'em up.

I call BS on that Mona picture, that man clearly has two eyes.

Also Cosmo appears to have retrieved his mustache.

I just realized that "lurking up on everyone" sounds alarming and amusing.

Oooh! And lurking and smirking....they rhyme.

So as of about two hours from this post my parents will be going on a belated anniversary trip for the weekend. Leaving me to have the house to myself and the dogs for a couple days.

I think it says something about me that the most out-of-the-norm thing I'm planning is to order something for dinner tonight, rather than just eating leftovers out of the fridge as per normal.

Well, (most of) the bills are paid. ~grumbles~ I hate being behind on bills. It is never any fun.

Know that feel, dragon. Know that feel.

~shrugs and sighs~ On the plus side, things will start to even out come tax time. I can pay off a few bills then and things will notbe so tight.

Yep. The sad thing is, once you get behind, it is easier to stay behind than get caught up and be ahead.

I'm only getting back to balanced and working on saving up due to crashing broke and having to move back in with the family. A year later I'm much better off financially, I've paid off one of my school loans, I have a steady job (with benefits!), I've had some much needed surgery, and I finally got around to getting my driver's license. So yeah, a lot of stuff that probably would not have been able to do still living on my own out in AZ.

I am very glad that your parents are able to help you. Also, it takes a BRAVE person to admit defeat and then learn from it, pick yourself back up, and move on despite the troubles. I am proud of you, Orthos.

Thanks. =)

Ok, so here's the dilly, yo.

I'm in the NYC area, trying to find a rideshare to points south, funds are running a bit low, and I may have to cut Florida out of my plans :-(

So, FHDM, CH, if you have free time today/tonight, I'll be either in Manhattan chilling at a coffee shop with wifi or in Brooklyn shooting paper wads at hipsters. One of the two. Either way, I'll be looking for someplace open 24/7 so I can chill until I hear back from a possible ride tomorrow.

The Exchange

Brooklyn shooting paper wads at hipsters.

Okay, I am at work right now an have to work again tonight(joy!), but I will pm you after I get off the first job when I am on my way to the second. I have to work relatively early at the second job unfortunate, so I will not be able to stay long, but I look forward to seeing you, possibly with ch.

Where would a good place to be to make it easier for you? I'm taking a train in to GCS, then I have no idea what I'm doing.

If you can, call, I'm not 100% sure I'll be somewhere I can load up the laptop.

You guys are way too hard on yourselves. You look just like your avatars!

Nope. Can see eyebrows just fine. Looks like a good picture to me. Only resemblance between you and a chipmunk is that you're both cute. ^.^

Sovereign Court

I will just deal with my aversion to pictures of myself and try to accept a compliment gracefully.

so, thank you.

Since I have tomorrow off I'm thinking I'll go see either Brave or Batman in the morning.

Probably 34th street. It's closest to where CH might be able to find us if he can join, as well as where the unofficial ny FAWTL chicken joint is(next time aeglos!).

Mrgh. I'm probably going to be at work until 7pm. The earliest I could get to the city is about 9, and I fly out at about 7 am tomorrow and have not packed :(

It looks like I will have to miss it, and that is a bummer.

Guess I better moisturize. But I do bark a lot, so I guess that works.

Despite (and ironically) the number of photos I'm tagged in on Facebook, even I'm inclined to agree with self-perception.

That said, I thought it was a cute picture of you. And I say this in all sincerity and not in my usual trope habits. :)

Batman was awesome, you can't go wrong choosing that one either!

Brave!

...I just don't want to see Batman after everybody else, and I hate the opening weekend crowds for the big summer flicks.

Oh right it is opening weekend.

And I'd forgotten about Spiderman. So that or Brave it is. Probably cheaper that way too.

The Exchange

The drive in is playing a triple feature: Spider-man, Avengers, Batman. Or Ice Age, Brave, Batman.

nonsense! You are quite lovely, although you do look a bit surprised.
