You know, I think it's hard to find a gamer who doesn't like anime. I know they exist but I certainly haven't met one.Ahem. You have now. Virtually, of course.
(Actually, it's not so much 'doesn't like', in my case, as 'isn't familiar with, and isn't motivated to become familiar with'.)
Well, you and Celestial Healer are a rare breed indeed.
Our dad worked as a special agent for the DoD when we were kids, and we went through a couple shut downs. They stink for gov't workers, but my understanding ( I was a kid and didn't always pay attention to this stuff ) is once the shut down ended, people would get back pay. And I think the political fallout of a shutdown will be such that it won't last for too long. Hopefully that will be the case for everyone struggling with uncertainty of what's coming over the next couple weeks.If I remember the email from work yesterday correctly, those who are still working during the shut down (like a certain zombie) will receive back pay once the gov't opens again. Not sure about those not working......
There's a very limited set of legally mandated activities that may continue during a shutdown, and employees who are required to report to work because their jobs relate to those activities will be paid. The rest of us will only receive back pay at Congress's discretion. So... I personally think it unlikely.

One character was originally an elk animal companion to a druid, but was resurrected as an elf druid. This all happened off camera, in his back story.
Last night, the character's animal companion (an elk) died. So, of course he ressurected him...
and rolled an elf.
Which prompted another player (who's character was recently exiled from the kingdom and hence, retired) to decide to play the new elf/elk.
And to be a druid.
I hate players. This game would be so much better without them.
These fine gentlemen will be attending PaizoCon. I post here because I would appreciate it, fellow FAWTLies, if you would do your utmost to wreak revenge upon them on my behalf. If you DM a game with them, please kill their PCs. If you play with them, suggest they go ahead and check for traps (particularly if they are not rogues). Please treat them with all the anger and vitriol that my enemies deserve.

I began disliking anime-style cartoons with "Speed Racer" and never stopped. Chalk up another avid gamer/non-anime-fan.
Soooo....I take it you're angry with them?All I ask is that you treat them as you would anyone on my enemies list.

Thanks. This will be the first time at a convention for one of them, so he should be easy pickings. The other was at PaizoCon last year (sitting at the FAWTLy table) and is a grognard, so he may be tougher to kill.

I don't mean to be a party pooper or maybe we're just joking, but isn't this the kind of thing that goes against what the society stands for?
I mean yeah there are some really annoying players out there but killing a player's character just because they're annoying is kinda shaky logic. And if it's their first Con I wouldn't suggest it. I know the first local Con I went to for PFS the first event I played in had a TPK due to a poor DM choice. It kinda ruined part of my weekend. Yeah, I had fun but I'd played a number of mods but didn't have enough to get the character res'd.

be glad to. I will not be able to go unfortunately but I will think painful thoughts their way. :)

It's too late. I've sworn a blood oath against my players and must take all possible steps to destroy their characters. If I don't follow through with it, I will be...I dunno, killed by Voldemort or something. I forget what happens. Maybe I just wander the afterlife until my son kills them. Or something.
The point is, that vengeance upon my enemies is justified!
Reincarnation...heh. I can see how Sebastian would be bitter. Once he was a successful human lawyer with a beautiful family, now he's a pony that shoots rainbows out his butt. But elks can just become elf druids left and right. The character is probably a hot elf chick, just to add insult to injury.

Is the Grognard the cop or the Cyborg. A cyborg Grognard should be hard to put down. A cyborg cop, unless he goes by the moniker Robocop, should be easy pickings.

Btw Sebastian. Ive decided that my summoner is going to multiclass into druid so she can fit in with the rest of this ragtag group. Im also going to take leadership. My goal is to roll 100 dice each turn.

While you're at it, you should multi-class into every PC class. That way, we can have fun grinding the game to a halt every time we need to figure out all the little rules subsystems for each class and how they interact with each other.
Also, I'm going to burn down your house next time I come over.

You are full of good ideas!! Its important that we undersand the rules and what better way than to practice all of them each round. You are so smart. Its probably why they gave you that internet law degree so quickly.
Oh, and please make sure to do a thorough job of the burning so that I can rebuild from the ground up with the insurance money.
