That's true. We're still finalizing the schedule but downtime is likely to be around 14-18 hours if everything goes well.

Think of it as my biggest *click* so far.

A new title for the kiddies: The Post Monster and the Very Biggest Click of All.
That makes me think of the title of a one act play by Christopher Durang: The Hardy Boys and the Mystery of Where Babies Come From.
That's spectacular. Is that an actually play??

It is indeed. I even have the script somewhere - it was published in a set of one act plays by Durang.

I love me some Durang.

Yeah, watching the subtitled is a bit of a pain, but I'd waited long enough to find out what happened. It's not that I mind subtitles. It's just disorienting when you've been watching the dubbed version for years. I first started watching that show during my son's nightly feedings when he was a newborn. :)

Speaking of jumping back in... I owe you guys the $5 for Ashton illo... should I send it to Taig or a gift certificate for Ashton?

Boring lecture is bad. Confusing lecture is worse. Stoopid guest teacher. :(

Also when I printed out the labs I ended up with all of the labs except the one I need to do next....WTF?
So as soon as the insanity is over I have to book it over to the library and pay to print it out. Agh!

You watch dubbed instead of subbed?!? Oh, the pain, that agony! :(

I need to buy the rest of the manga.

The cartoon was a great study aid, I must say. Most of the language was simple enough I could read the comic before the episode aired, then watch the episode, and they would each help me pick up stuff about the other I missed. :)

I don't even know how the cartoon ended, since it was still playing when I came back to the states. But the manga ended pretty good, if not with a surprising ending. :)

IMHO, it's alright. There's a lot of filler, but not as much as a certain loud-mouthed orange "ninja" with a show that will go unnamed, but sans that it's alright.

I enjoyed it, but I mainly enjoy the manga. I don't know how the cartoon ended up, but it had caught up with the writing during the second season, and they had started introducing filler episodes. I don't know how bad that got toward the end.

The manga is fun. :)

But you have to admit, there are some really really good dubs out there that are better than the originals in subtitle. Like Full Metal Alchamist and FMA: Brotherhood.

I never read the manga, so I don't know how those ended. I was happy with how the anime ended. The filler episodes were awful! I didn't read the manga and I could tell it was filler. Blech. But then they finally got back on track at the end.

Ok. I will watch Clamore first.

I like some Anime but never watch it. I subscribe to the Anime channel on demand but seem to always find something that might look OK after the first few episodes have aired.

If you haven't seen them I strong recommend Full Metal Alchemist and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The first is the original anime which was produced while the manga was still being written and diverges greatly from the plot of the manga. Brotherhood is the series redone following the manga storyline almost exactly.

Another good anime is Death Note. I highly recommend it.

Full Metal Alchemist is likely the Greatest Anime Ever. Samurai Champloo is pretty awesome, too. Ghost is the Shell is also wonderful.

Does it hurt here? ::Pokes:: How about here? ::Poke, poke::

Here's some other greats: The Count of Monte Cristo! Gilgamesh! Le Chevailer D'Eon!

Madclaw: I can think of one, at least. I think it's probably like comic books. I was never a big fan of comic books. Star Wars and and then GI Joe for a little while. But it seems like most other gamers were.

They stink for gov't workers, but my understanding ( I was a kid and didn't always pay attention to this stuff ) is once the shut down ended, people would get back pay. And I think the political fallout of a shutdown will be such that it won't last for too long. Hopefully that will be the case for everyone struggling with uncertainty of what's coming over the next couple weeks.

If I remember the email from work yesterday correctly, those who are still working during the shut down (like a certain zombie) will receive back pay once the gov't opens again. Not sure about those not working......

Ahem. You have now. Virtually, of course.

(Actually, it's not so much 'doesn't like', in my case, as 'isn't familiar with, and isn't motivated to become familiar with'.)

Dark Archive Bella Sara Charter Superscriber

Played kingmaker last night.

One character was originally an elk animal companion to a druid, but was resurrected as an elf druid. This all happened off camera, in his back story.

Last night, the character's animal companion (an elk) died. So, of course he ressurected him...

and rolled an elf.

Which prompted another player (who's character was recently exiled from the kingdom and hence, retired) to decide to play the new elf/elk.

And to be a druid.

I hate players. This game would be so much better without them.

These fine gentlemen will be attending PaizoCon. I post here because I would appreciate it, fellow FAWTLies, if you would do your utmost to wreak revenge upon them on my behalf. If you DM a game with them, please kill their PCs. If you play with them, suggest they go ahead and check for traps (particularly if they are not rogues). Please treat them with all the anger and vitriol that my enemies deserve.
