Oh crap! You're not really 40? Damn. I was really hoping I wasn't the only FAWTLY to hit that milestone this month.

I approve!

today we made a bicyle tour with my mum tto a "Angling Club Fest" where we had freshly smoked trout for dinner.
then we made a trip to Seligenstadt (lit. town of the Blessed). there is the Einhard-Basilica.
a old cloister and cathedral build by Einhard the Cronicler of Charlemagne the Great (Karl der Große) King of the Franks, his realm became todays Germany And France.
The Basilica itself is not that impressive but the Cloister and especally the gardens are very big and beautiful.
Then we cleaned out the garage.
Now Asparagus is in the cokcing pot, mmmmm Asparagus

*blink*

One garden bed torn down, rototilled, shoveled out, rebuilt, ready for planting!

So... warm!

Scarab Sages

Warm? Fah!

It was comfortable here in Philly - 80s, humid. Perfect grass cutting weather.

It doesn't matter what the temperature is, if I see humidity above 20% and it isn't actively raining or overcast I want to spend the day inside. BLUH.

My one biggest gripe about Tennessee. Or anywhere not Arizona-NM-west Texas as a whole.

So the 90 with 50% humidity we have right now in Minneapolis would put you off then? I actually think it is fairly nice.

Scarab Sages

Fah! When I used to live in Louisiana, we'd have days with 100 degrees and 100% humidity.

sigh

Those were the days.

80 and fairly humid here tapering off to a nice evening. I am treating myself to a break after redoing another garden bed, this one had to be rebuilt from scratch.

Man a gardeners chore list is never finished

*sigh*

At least I'll have some fresh tomatoes this year

wtf guys, it's been quiet for 2 hours and 23 minutes. Cut that out.

Ask SIRI where's the best place to hide a dead body? Go on, ask. You know you want to. All the cool kids are doing it.

Silver Crusade

Ha! I will have to do that... I've been having difficulty getting much out of Siri.

Scarab Sages

You can also ask SIRI what she's wearing. And tell her you love her. There was a site someone showed me with s@#$ you can ask SIRI that they apparently programmed interesting responses to, but I can't remember what the site was called.

Yeah, a Google search turned up some fun Siri responses.

All caught up - first the good.

Happy Birthday CH! Your Grace.

Now the unfortunate:

Condolences to Lindisty for the loss of her niece.

Treppa - hang in there - hope things work out in the end. If there is anything your FAWTL family can do to help, just say the word.

As I recall, I had asked Siri to call me Aberzombie. I don't use it that often, so I'm not sure if it'll still do it.

Scarab Sages

Also, good morning FAWTLY Folk. Happy Monday! No work today, but I've already been up for about an hour with the boy.

Scarab Sages

Right now he's playing with his signing puppy. Keeps pressing the button until it sings the ABC's. Then he dances .

Scarab Sages

All right. Done for now. Back later. Maybe.

Anyone know a good way way to translate a saying which translates directly as: "One's death, the other's bread?"

*headdesk* I think I just need to disable all of this forum except this single thread.

Spoiler:
Okay, a bit of a confession to make.

As everyone here knows, I just came back from a year and a half sabbatical from the forums. The reason for this break was in part work, moving across the country, and business with other projects. However, that was only part.

The reason I stopped posting originally was utter frustration with a large portion of the rest of the forum and the redundant, endless debates they create. Debates that at the time convinced me it was not worth logging on to slog through and I had better things to do with my time. I am starting to get that feeling again and it's driving me to beat my head against a wall.

This is why I can't stand people 90% of the time. Bluh.

I have hidden a lot of threads based on title alone.

Opinion rant:
I have a problem with censoring threads though, no matter how boneheaded they are morons like all other human beings have a right to express themselves. I also have the right to hide the thread from my view and not participate in their orgy of self congratulatory mental masturbation.
