I currently have a level 2 rogue that I've only played twice (the rest of the XP has come from scenarios I've GM'ed. Would it be okay to instead make him a ninja since I really haven't given much life to the character, or do I just need to roll up a new character?
If not, it isn't so much of a loss. I just don't know how much playtesting one can do in PFS by Valentine's day. Besides, level 1 playtests tell you nothing! :P

The old Regime would not allow this, but under the new I am unsure, but I am doubtful.

Smells like a rebuild. Rebuild = no.

I guess. I wouldn't change the stats or most of the skill points (except Know(nobles) for Know(local)) and none of the feats. The only significant change would be 2 levels of rogue to 2 levels of ninja.
But if that's considered a rebuild and not allowed, I guess I will have to make the exact same character with the exact same stats and skills and feats! :P

If there were no alternate class abilities granted by the ninja variant at first or second level you could make the switch into the alternate class before the first swapped ability, but as it is, the changes to the core class come at first level, so the decision must be made at character creation (or before multiclassing into rogue or ninja for the first time from another class).

That works. I just feel bad that all the credit that went into that character is pretty much a waste now, because I doubt I'm going to put any more time or credit towards that one character. /Sigh

If you judge a bit more, you can apply those credits to your new ninja and have him at or above your rogue in no time.

Oh trust me, I plan on judging. I want to be close to my 3rd star by the end of this year. I think I can with the Cons I'm planning on attending. :)
