PaizoCon 2011 Schedule

PaizoCon General Discussion

Sovereign Court

My wife and I purchased our PaizoCon tickets and we will be first-time attendees in 2011. We're making travel plans to include the Meet and Eat on Thursday, the banquet on Saturday (we just bought our banquet tickets!), and of course there will be plenty of gaming and sessions on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Does any one know how late official con sessions/events will last on Sunday?

Our local mini-cons usually end at 4 or 6 ish on Sunday afternoon - is that when official PaizoCon happenings will come to a close? I didn't see anything officially posted yet, but I figure previous con-goers would have a clue of when things typically wind down... (We're trying to figure out whether we will fly home late Sunday or early Monday, and it looks like we can get some reasonably-priced plane tickets if we buy soon.)

Official session usually run until 10pm (or later - it depends on the people running them) on Friday and Saturday. Early afternoon on Sunday is when things usually wind down.
Fans will have a chance to submit their own events to run (if previous years are any indication).
My advice is always come a day early and leave the day after the convention - that way you have a chance to catch up on after-hours events and last-minute goodbyes (and catch up on sleep!).

Thanks. Monday sounds much better.

Do the sessions start mid-day on Friday, or in the morning? Trying to decide if coming in Thursday night is better than an early flight on Friday.

They start Friday morning.

Thanks for the info!

If you can swing it, stay until Tuesday and go play around Seattle all day Monday. I did that last year and had a blast.

Is anybody planning on running a Sunday evening game?

I would be another person available more than likely for a sunday night game.

Unfortunately will not be coming in until Friday afternoon due to to many "cons" I am trying to attend and days off at work.

Going to do the Seattle thing with wife and son who will be coming down the 12th.

If everything pans out that is....

I currently plan on leaving on Monday, so a Sunday game would rock.

How do I sign up to run events? I plan to DM/GM.

We haven't launched that yet. Keep checking the Paizo blog.

Do I get to use the same character I used last year?

That is up to you, and if you played the Game I will be running. I was not there last year.

What ever game I run I will try to pick one of the newer ones so there is less of a chance of anyone playing it.

I am staying until Monday and would like to play, too.

I am new to DMing PFS but am currently working on setting up a home PFS group. Hopefully I will have run a few sessions prior to PaizoCon. I plan to bring a lowish level scenario and could DM it on Sunday evening if we need more spaces.

I may run Round 2 of Sunday Night Asylum Rejects - had a blast last year. I'll probably play it by ear though. The late Sunday chatting and hanging is the second best part of the con.

I'll be there until Monday as well, and I can run games Sunday or play. Whatever is needed.
