"Falcons love Noblery"

The Exchange

We're having fun with ours...

Spoiler:
Our Kingdom is the Kingdom of Greyhawk
Capitol of Altdorf (stag lord fort)
Other cities:
Olegstadt (Oleg's place...)
Candlemere (on the island...)
White Elk (elf castle in woods)
Deadeye Watch (near Erastil monument)
Talabheim (Bear temple site in woods)
Kreutzhaven (Pier site in south)

Currently we're size 37 and in book 3, investigating the varnhold mystery.

Technically I've already posted this once, but we've expanded a lot since then. So at risk of killing the thread again, here goes....

Nation: Xylari
Capital: Kaiyaria (Stag Lord's Fort, named for dead PC elf druid. Castle in the city is named for our other dead PC, Aleksander.)
Other cities:
Daruka (at Temple of the Elk, 1st city and former captial)
Fort Oleg
Tatzlford
Hansonii (at the elven castle, named for our assassinated Duke)
Behiria (south of Tuskwater, named by the behir random encounter who helped us fight the trolls in exchange for being titular lord of a city)
Perlivash (at the hot springs, intentionally designed as tourist trap/pleasure city)

Since our DM tossed in part of the Hook Mountain Massacre to undrevelop some of the cities he really felt Varnhold should have built over the seven years our campaign has run, we will soon be adding Fort Rannick and Mahanon (aka Turtleback Ferry) to that list.

Liberty's Edge

Skeeters

I hate to correct you, as it may come back to haunt me in the form of a grudge monster, but "Silvertown" should be "Irontown".

Spoiler:
The kobolds own what would probably have been called Silvertown.

Though yes, our party does seem to be lazy with names.

My group has named their kingdom Grenzmark which is German for Border Marches. Their capital at the site of the Stag Lord's fort is called Narlwik. In the meantime, two more cities have been added to the kingdom, namely Nordwacht (i.e. North Watch) at Oleg's and Elkbronn (i.e. Elk's Well) at the Temple of the Elk.

We are now right at the start of chapter 3.

Almost done with Book 4.

Nation: Verden
We wanted something that leaned towards GREEN. Size just hit 103.

Capital: Allania
The King is an half-elven paladin that really like that name.

Leadership Council: Council of Verden
PCs also include a human druid (Warden), human monk (Councilor), and an elven wizard (Magistrate, me).

Other cities:
1. Aldoran aka Oleg's, we still call it Oleg's even with the fancy name
2. Elkwood, "mecca" of Verden, center of power for Erastil
3. Tatzlford, much bigger than what book 4 assumed I guess
4. Varnhold
5. Drelev's Folly
tbd. (planned) Varnhold Pass, Candlemere Resorts.

Verden is a Nordic-country-in-Golarion: high taxes, high standard of living, well-adjust populace. Religion centers on Iomedae, Abadar, and Erastil. Despite the Law gods being present, the general tenor leads to NG instead of LG, maybe because of the chaotic nature of the river kingdoms.

The "Code of Verden" includes
Rule #1 : Don't eat sentients
Rule #2 : Pay your taxes and enjoy feastday
Rule #3 : Don't assume ill intent, or, That kobold is here on business!

We are planning our army (armies?) next, so that should be really interesting. I'm curious what kind of armies everyone else has.

Just started Book 2. Campaign Journal thread

Like many others, my guys looked to Eastern European countries as inspiration for names.

Scarab Sages Reaper Miniatures

Kingdom name: Speerspitze (Spearhead from German)

Capital: Ausgleich (Redemption) located at Stag Lord's Fort. Symbolically transferring power to the King, a Paladin of Iomedae

My players each created a city for their Baronies (it's very feudal - King over the barons, over the NPC lords)
General Char, Cavalier has Wachsamkeit (Vigilance) on Candlemere Isle, with additional city districts built on the shore of the lake.

Monk built a monastery and began training the Kobolds in the monastic arts to preserve order in their city - Alraune (Mandrake).

Spymistress adopted Tatzylford, and is developing it into the Vegas of the River Kingdoms.

On the shores of Lake Silverstep, our mage founded Serebrosgrad (Russian for Silver City). The proximity of Mountains, water, and the plains will make excellent elemental research.

The Alchemist/treasurer founded Olegton, made Svetlana his Lord Mayor, and busies himself with research and regulating commerce through the main trade port.

Two additional cities are planned, once the problem in Varnhold is resolved. They have not named them, nor have they decided whether to rename Varnhold itself.

Our Group is just starting Book 2, so the Nation isn't that big yet.

Nation: Realm of the Sylvan Dales
Nation Alignment: N-G
State Religion: None (although Gyronna and Lamashtu worship is forbidden)
Capital City: Boarsholme (also the only city yet)
Motto: nil desperandum

The next city is planned to be at Oleg's former trading post, but they first want to improve their capitol a bit.

My group still hasn't named their kingdom, and now has four cities:
Solace (capital, on the stag lord's fort)
Svetlania (Oleg's place, named and founded the same month they kicked Oleg out of the Treasurer position but kept his wife as the Councilor)
Tatzlford (as per plot device)
Eristalia (on the forest temple)

RPG Superstar 2011 Top 8

My PCs just started book two and really liked the kingdom building aspect so that's what they did all session and 3 and half years of game time have already gone by. They are expanding slowly, only 12 hexes in size but they have completely filled one whole district in their capital city, Sol. The PC baron is a religious zealot of Sarenrae. To that end, they are try to bring the light to drive off the darkness of the Stolen Lands.

Kingdom name: Realm of the Eternal Light
Capitol- Sol (Staglord's Fort)
Cities- Olegton (Oleg's Trading Post, actually created as rehab center for Oleg who took to drinking and huffing Spymaster Perivash's euphoria breath weapon)

The leadership positions are filled by a mix of humans and some monstrous NPCs such as Garuum the boggard as the royal assassin. Mikmak the kobold is the high priest. After the kobolds were freed from the influence of Tarmuk, they were looking for a new god, and well, they do like fire after all and the PC baron is a theologian who specializes is the Fire domain.

My group just began building their kingdom last night and got eight months into it (7 hexes, 9 city blocks).

Kingdom name - Candlemere
Capital - TBA (located at Stag Lord's fort)
Population - 4,000

The Exchange

Our kingdom is Galasat. That is made up of the from the first letters of the character names, and then we bought a vowel.

Olegton around the tavern, and the Stag Lord's keep became our base of operations and was renamed New Hope. We are only in book 2.

I got fancy and scrounged the web for graphics and put together our flag.

Iomrall (pronounced IM-raul). Second definition is the more intended.
Since Scottish, Celtic, Gaelic, and Welsh languages are all strongly associated with various breeds of Fey in my game, A Certain Someone will certainly know both definitions and intends to play on the first heavily.

Our capital is Dún Raige ("Fort Stubbornness") at the former Stag Lord's Keep. They also have Tatzylford, Gildgate (formerly Oleg's Trading Post; I wouldn't let them call it Olegory), and Duskgrove (centered around the Dancing Lady's Keep).

Sovereign Court

Kingdom: Greenland (it was that or Phranz due to the Jean Valjean laws being enacted by the paladins ... break the law, 5 years hard labor)

Cities: Olegsburg (at the tavern and old capital)
Stagsfall (at the Stag Lord's fort and our current capital)

Kingdom map (blue is claimed, red is explored)
Future Currency - silver front
Future Currency - silver back
Future Currency - gold front
Future Currency - gold back

What's the harpy-looking symbol mean?

Sovereign Court

You mean the one near Stagsfall?

Spoiler:
It's a fey indicator ... you'd be surprised how difficult it is to find a good B&W vector fairy image ...

I figured it was that

Spoiler:
since one of 'em is right on Tiressia's place. What's the other?

Sovereign Court

Swapped out the map to an unkeyed one to avoid map spoilers ;)

Spoiler:
One of them is the water nymph or whatever she is, the other is a dryad

Spoiler:
Ah right Melisandre, forgot about her. My group never got around to that particular encounter and I ended up dropping/postponing it indefinitely.

Tiressia's the dryad so I got one right at least =)

No land name so far, I forced Tuskwater Keep for the capitol, just so it would have a name. Levetgrad for Oleg's new village.

I keep threatening them with Hootergrad, but it's not working.

My Players named their kingdom Narnia and formed a ruling council led by a council-elected "High Chancellor". They then proceeded to take turns at being the "King".

The capitol at the site of the Stag Lords castle is named "Stagport". They named the stag lords castle "The Shrikewall"

They constructed another city on Candlemere isle that they named "CandleKeep".

They changed the name of Varnhold to "Winterfell".

They left Tatzylfords name the same.

They formed another city at the ancient elven castle in the Narlmarch that they named "Daerwynthian".

I integrated Realm of the Fellnight Queen at the end of Rivers Run Red and the village of Bellis has grown into the city of Bellis. It is located on the extreme southern portion of the first map.

After annexing Drelev they asked the citizens to rename it, but the townsfolk could not decide. They changed the name on the map to "No Name" which has recently been shortened to "Nome". The castle there still sits empty and the locals have nicknamed it "The Castle with No Name"

They have named their first army of Human Cavalry "The Aslan Guard" and recently formed another army from the centaur tribes which they equipped with cold iron weapons and named "The Cold Iron Lances". They are planning another army of Rangers with animal companions, but have not named it yet.

Additionally they have constructed forts at Olegs (Fort Oleg), at the troll Lair (Fort Wrought Iron), at the edge of the Nomen Uplands (Fort Iron), another just north of the barbarian cairn (Fort Cold Iron), and finally and most recently another two forts in the southwestern and northwestern edges of the Slough map (Fort Sunset and Fort Mithral).

Narnia is currently at a kingdom size of 126 and we have just begun War of the River Kings. We have covered almost eight years of time in play so far.

Middle of Book 4 ...

Was Barony of the Three Rivers, now Duchy of the Five Rivers. My PC is the Ruler, and I don't really like this add-a-river logic for our ever-changing kingdom name, so we'll see.

Capital: Lakeside (guess why)

Tatzlford
Varnhold
Svetlandia (on Bokken's hex, since it provides better placement of a Stockyard, currently it's only building.
Elkwood

I have been tossing titles at the other PCs as we go, declaring them Thanes of certain areas. I was hoping it would draw them into the kingdom building a bit more. Ah well. I may name a couple of barons for the large settlements east and west, keeping the Five Rivers as the Duchy it is, and defining the other areas as they have been, but referring to them collectively as The Dominion of the Recovered Lands or something.

Kingdom: Inedania, the Kingdom of Second Chances. Named after the party's paladin, who died in battle with an owlbear.

Capital: Caiden, named for the baroness's god.

Other City: Oleg, the site of Oleg's Rest, home of Jhod and Svetlana Khavken, named for Oleg Leveton, who fell in battle with Old Sharptooth.
