Pathfinder Campaign Setting General Discussion

As a GM: My (once) weekly high-level (17th +) Monday night game is in the Mwangi Expanse (at least that was it's point of origin) and the PCs have very recently returned to their city (under construction)

The ruins of Ulduvai; one of the Shory Flying Cities.
And they have some Knowledge checks to make, and things to decide before continuing on with their Quest
which is to destroy Xotani's Heart (one of Rovagug's Spawn, the one from Legacy of Fire) and once they do that, it's off to the Ruins of Kho, to see if that will aid them in getting their own Shory ruin working once again.

Still as a GM: I'm running Kingmaker (every-other Sunday) and the group has just started "Rivers Run Red" and are about to encounter what has been happening in their capital of Tatzlmark while they've been gone...

1 person marked this as a favorite.

primary game: Smuggler's Shiv, upon Red Mountain

secondary game: small town, Velashu Uplands, Varisia

Ya, spent 9 levels in the same small town and I haven't named it. Bad GM, bad! ::scolds self::

As a DM: The Greenbelt (RRR of KM)
As a player: aboard Jenivere bound for Eleder (we're starting up SS)

GMing: Beneath Jorgenfist, about to enter Mokmurian's library.

Player (party 1): Trapped in Kakishon (or as we started calling it before we went there, "the plane of infinite loot")

Player (party 2): Marooned on Smuggler's Shiv, beginning our second week as castaways

Adults' campaign: Gearing up for a Varisia campaign. Probably starting in Korvosa. Sorely tempted to run the Kingmaker AP instead, however.

Kids campaign 1 (just my kids): Nirmathas, bound for Varisia via Bloodsworn Vale once Crypt of the Everflame is finished.

Kids campaign 2 (my kids + some of their friends): Andoran, where I've placed the town of Saltmarsh and am running them through U1: The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh.

Kid campaing 3 (not started - solo campaign for my oldest). Since my oldest has a later bedtime on the weekends, I'm gearing up for a campaign for solo-play for him. Campaign will start in Andoran but will swiftly move to Osirion for tomb-robbing goodness!

Me personally? The Abyss.

The next game I plan to run will start in Varisia but the players want to be globe trotting pathfinders, so likely will end up all over.

As far as me, Smugglers Shiv.

As a DM, my players were stuck in red redoubt trying to figure out how to stop the machine soldiers.

As a player, I was in Kho studying the Shory engines following a rumor that they were powered by Azathoths primal chaos.

After Exploring the Tiger's Eye Monastery in the mountainous jungles of Jalmeray, the party is currently at the Padiskar Docks waiting for a ship bound to Oppara in Taldor. Once in Oppara, they are headed to a grand Opera at the House of the Immortal Son.

Campaign 1: My Fighter and Rogue are currently leaving the Storval Plateau, thinking "man that was alot of stone giants"

Campaign 2: My Inquisitor is finally getting off the island in the first book thinking "man, that's a lot of poisonous creatures for a lvl 1-4 module"

Campaign 3 (the one I DM): My players are east of Oppara in Diamond Lake thinking "man 1/2 orc barbarians with greataxes suck"

I've got (among my own PCs, and PCs I'm running games for):

- 8 PCs in Tian Xia (4 in The Forest of Spirits, 4 in Jinin)
- 4 PCs in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings
- 4 PCs in the Shackles
- 4 PCs in Ustalav
- 1 PC in Heaven
- 1 PC in Hell
- 1 PC on Brethedan (the gas giant)
- 1 PC in a personal demiplane

...I have a lot of games going. This isn't even counting the 8 PCs who are in a setting that doesn't contain Golarion.

Both of my groups are in Varisia.

Group 1: (my main group): a Rise of the Runelords campaign. Currently in Turtleback Ferry. (in Hook Mountain Massacre.)

Group 2: (my daughter and a couple of her friends): Low-level homebrew adventures, set in Sandpoint, mostly goblin-hunting and exploring old ruins.

In-game, the two groups are running at the same time. The PCs of one group can occasionally appear as NPCs in the other, but that's only happened once so far.

It might get a little interesting when Group 1 gets to certain events in Fortress of the Stone Giants....

when the giants attack Sandpoint.

I think I'll run a Group 2 session after I play out that Group 1 game, with the events of that session happening in the background.

As a DM for Jade Regent, my players will arrive at Brinewall Village this Friday!

As a GM, Kasai for JR
As a Player, an island somewhere in the shackles for S&S

My players are beneath Jorgenfist, just finished off Mokmurian in Runelords.

Grand Lodge

Am finishing a Greyhawk Campaign and thinking about going to Ustalov (Carrion Crown) or maybe Cheliax or Varisia.

We're in Tamran, but about to set out to see the Druids of Crystalhurst to hopefully cure our bard of lycanthropy. Nirmathas has not been kind.

My only character in Golarion is currently marooned on a jungle island somewhere between Magnimar and Sargava.

She hasn't been having a good week.

Campaign 1: Southern Linnorm Kingdoms (Modified Kingmaker)
Campaign 2: North of Winterhaven (Witchwar Legacy)

In Magnimar (Rise of the Runelords), Brinewall Swamp (Jade Regent) and on Smuggler's Shiv (Serpent's Skull) as a player.

Celwynvian (Second Darkness)
Pale Mountain in the Brazen Peaks (Legacy of Fire)
Ravengro (Carrion Crown)

We are currently mucking about in the swamps around Sandpoint. Hopefully soon we will be packing up the wagon train heading for the other side of the world.

We just left Sandpoint and sailed down to Magnimar, but my character is about to head back home to Andoran.

Group A - three men deep in Kaer Maga, the Bottoms

Group B - three in the many tunnels and caverns beneath Kaer Maga

Group C - four traveling from Magnimar east along the Yondabakari River

Solo character wandering the Greenbelt

An indeterminately sized group of scalawags forming on some homebrew islands in the southern seas between Garund and Vudra

The adventuring company "The Iron Men" reached Feldgrau, Ustalav last week. Will do some villain cleanup this week, and possibly move on to Illmarsh.

Grand Lodge

My groups currently in Ustalav, specifically in the Shudderwood dealing with the 3rd part of the Carrion Crown AP.

Leaving Brinewall in Jade Regent

Game 1: In a ship off the beach of Bonewrack Isle, getting ready to set sail for adventure!

Game 2: Just walking back to Falcon's Hollow from the Dwarven Monastery in Darkmoon Vale, five rescued children in tow.

Grand Lodge

Just entered Korvosa in Curse of the Crimson Throne.

And just entered the Stolen Lands in Kingmaker.

A few months ago I left Ustalov after finishing Carrion Crown.

And more recently I left Perrenland, Ket and the Yatills -- though they're a bit out of the way from Pathfinder.

And of course, just before that I was in the Sterich March and the Crystalmists & Jotens.

Before that I was in Varisia in a Homebrew mixing of RotRL, SD and something that seems conspicuously identical to Shattered Star even though SS wouldn't even be announced for another year-and-a-half.

Before that Absalom in Hangman's Noose and a few Society Scenarios.
Before that Andoran in some Homebrew stuff.

Before that I was in the Pomarj going through the old A Series, again, far, far away from Pathfinder.

And before that it was still 2010 so it doesn't count.

First campaign: Just wrapping up the invasion of our neighbour, Pitax (pitoo! A°holes!). We have something of a reputation for absorbing our neighbours if they get uppity.

Second campaign: Arrived at a cozy hunting lodge in the middle of the woods, somewhere in Ustalav. We're due some R&R after that whole trial thing.

Osirion as I am running me and some friends through a campaign against the four pharaohs of ascension.

The Pharaoh of Numbers was restored into lichdom by a worm that walks from the planet Aucturn. As have the rest of the four Pharaohs.

I'm GMing in northeastern Amaans in Ustalav.

Second session is scheduled in 4 hours so I hope my players show up.

Homebrewing in Bellis.

In Lepidstadt/Ustalav running the Carrion Crown AP!

Currently in the Realm of the Mammoth Lords. For some odd reason wild elves are emerging from an Orvian vault.

BTW this thread is BRILLIANT! Paizo should code in a map for us to drive virtual campaign pins into. This would provide us all with a visual representation of community interest.

That would indeed be cool. Someone with more spare time than I have might put it on here.

The coast of Hwangott, and based on this thread so far, we're all alone in this part of the world.

15 Player Characters.

5 in the House of the Beast, Katapesh.

3 at Oleg's Trading Post in Rostland, Brevoy.

4 marooned on Smuggler's Shiv.

3 in Goka.

My core players are currently in Caliphas, Ustalav waiting for the gathering of the Esoteric Order of the Palatine Eye (Carrion Crown 5: Ashes at Dawn).

My character is preparing to depart the Grand Lodge in Absalom for Varisia (Pathfinder Society Scenarios).

In a couple of months I hope to have a new group of players in Thornkeep while my core group begins RotR AE in Sandpoint.

As a DM, I am in the River Kingdoms.

When I was a player, I was in Westcrown.

1 PC sailing to Mediogalti after collapsing an Age of Serpents era temple, thus inadvertently creating the legend of a certain pirate's lost treasure hoard. But hey, Holy Avenger!

1 PC reveling in killing Tickleback somewhere in the Stolen Lands.

As a DM: The group is in Ustalav, retreating from Schloss Caromarc to Lepistatd.
As a Player: In the Stolen lands (River Kingdoms)
(Also, In the Abyss (Savage Tide), which touches on all planes.
Getting ready to beat up Demogorgon so badly that they have to remove
him from story canon.. I mean, the multiverse.:p)

Pathfinder Comics Subscriber; Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Maps, Modules, Tales Subscriber

As a DM: The group is somewhere in the Storval Plataeu (RotR)
As a DM: The group is somewhere in Andoran, helping the new goverment establish control.
As a Player: Somewhere near the Mwangi Expanse, searching for an ancient city.
