Question |
• Skill points equal to 6 + Int modifier (minimum 1) per Hit Die. The following are class skills for fey: Acrobatics, Bluff, Climb, Craft, Diplomacy, Disguise, Escape Artist, Fly, Knowledge (geography), Knowledge (local), Knowledge (nature), Perception, Perform, Sense Motive, Sleight of Hand, Stealth, Swim, Use Magic Device.
For example lets say you wanted to make a fey wizard. Would the fey wizard receive 2 + int modifier per hit die, or 6 + int modifier? Would the fey wizard have all these additional skills(bluff, acrobatics, etc) counted as class skills?
I suppose the same goes for stuff like saves, BAB, etc, does the class take precedence always?
Question |
Those are only for fey racial hit dice. Levels in wizard are the same as for anyone else leveling in wizard.
Oh in that case they really should say "Skill points equal to 6 + Int modifier (minimum 1) per Hit Die or by character class.", like what the humanoid entry uses.
Edit : On a side note how does one determine the stat adjustments for a pixie? It seems different than the 3.5 one, and it also gains one stat point for having 4 HD.

If the Bestiary pixie doesn't have any class levels, it most likely used the base stat array of 11, 11, 11, 10, 10, 10. Subtract 11 from each odd score or 10 from each even score, edit: giving STR -4, DEX +10, CON +2, INT +6, WIS +4, CHA +6. The result includes adjustments due to size. It doesn't seem to have used its 4-HD ability score increase.

If it has 4 odd stats or 4 even stats, as you mention, you'll have to decide where you think it put its 4-HD ability score increase.
Strange the pixie is listed as having 3 odd and 3 even stats even though it should have +1 to an abiltiy score for 4 HD.

The +1 ability point is for every four class levels or four additional hit dice after the base. The base monster doesn't have those additions as it is the starting point for a monster of that kind. In the same way a basic (1st level) human doesn't get any ability bonuses, neither does a basic (4HD) pixie.
