Be happy never to see another system for SW. Some adventures, however...that'd be nice.

Agreed. We've got splat books for every era, nearly every EU character even has their own mini. I always felt Saga was sorely lacking in playable adventures, aside from entire campaigns like Dawn of Defiance, etc.

Sure, every SW GM has their own SW story they want to tell, and every player has their own Jedi/Scoundrel/Soldier/Noble/Scout fantasy to fulfill, but seriously, some actual adventures with balanced encounters would have been terrific.

Adventures require a different production cycle (and playtesting in house) than sourcebooks do.

To make adventures work, you need a production crew that is used to producing something every single month, and that's a very different talent pool than what it takes to make source books.

If only star wars would go back to the d6 system... that's my dream. ah well.

I own the d6 version and numerous sourcebooks, but I have never actually played it. I did enjoy reading it though. I may give it a go in the near future.

It is pretty easy to run a Star Wars, or any other Space/Sci-fi campaign, with Starblazer Adventures so I'd would not mind if Cubicle got the SW license.

As for WotC, Marvel comics has said that they will be doing card games, board games, miniatures, toys and roleplaying games with Hasbro. Doesn't that mean that WotC has the Marvel RPG license by default? Surely Hasbro won't let that license go to another company when they have their very own RPG team. I've always said 4e seems like a superhero game. I doubt I'd play it, but it seems like it could work.

I'd rather see Green Ronin or Paizo get it, but that's life.

So far, I've not seen a Pathfinder AP that says "Stop reading now if you're a player!" (Although to be fair, I've seen the text so many times it might as well no longer exist for me.)

Kind of like no longer seeing the Fnords, hmm. ELF might be interested in knowing this.

They are one of the few companies that could afford it, and I think they have done well with the 40k RPGs.

Though I think Catalyst Game Labs would be stupid enough to try to do it without the Funds to really support it. I think they make great RPGs just have a terrible business sense..

They also DO have a minis line that is pretty decent.

Someone else to consider is Bioware, they are making an MMO, and I could imagine them getting the License and contracting to an RPG company to make an RPG based on the MMO.
