At last, Chronicles: Pathfinder Podcast returns with a monster of an episode. We wrap up GWOB and Azmyth and Cherry Pi recount their adventures in Las Vegas at Neoncon. We discuss the use of tabletop projectors for use with RPGs in our mailbag. On the Character Concept Workshop, Research and Azmyth present an Osirian Dervish Princess who is used to getting her own way. Neil Spicer joins us for an interview on the Companion side of the podcast, where he discusses the many projects he has been engaged with at Paizo since winning the RPG Superstar in 2009. The Deck of Many Things returns with a Know Your Game segment as Steel_Wind and a new co-host, Merry Prankster examine in-depth the rules of PFRPG dealing with sundering, item breakage and repair. On the Chronicles side of the cast, Neil Spicer returns for an extended interview concerning his module , Realm of the Fellnight Queen. The Monster Mash evolves to the Chronicles side of the cast with the first instalment in the Encounter Laboratory set in the basement of Queen Rhoswen’s Palace. Steel_Wind takes apart Realm of the Fellnight Queen and gives his spoilerific take on this 7th level stand alone module from Paizo. We close out the show with our first (but certainly not the last) presentation of TPK Theatre: A Date with Queen Rhoswen. The meatiest episode yet of Chronicles: PFPC weighs in at a tad under four-and-a-half hours of RPG shoptalk goodness.

There is a small Sunder Blunder in the Deck of Many Things section. Steel_Wind I think you missed that a magic weapon can't be damaged unless the attack has an equal or greater enhancement bonus.
PRD>Magic Items> Weapons
Damaging Magic Weapons: An attacker cannot damage a magic weapon that has an enhancement bonus unless his weapon has at least as high an enhancement bonus as the weapon struck.
So this bones monsters without weapons, but it alleviates some of the problems of Adamantine weapons.

The rule was present in 3.0 and was taken out of 3.5 and then appears to have snuck back into Pathfinder via the SRD. I did miss the reference to that though, as it is on page 468 of the Core Rules (nowhere near the sundering part of the rules *sigh*).
It does change some of the info in the Sundering discussion, though thankfully not that much. Everybody on the cast missed it as we passed the script around all the hosts first. I guess the 3.5 rule was probably the reason we missed it.
I'll have to mention this in the next podcast though. Thanks!
I would note that DR/Adamantine is bypassed by a +4 weapon for DR purposes. So... is the reverse true? Is an adamantine weapon as good as +4 for purposes of damaging a magic weapon?
As for boning monsters without weapons -- not in my game. If you mean to say that something like a Black Dragon with the improved sunder feat can't snap a +1 sword because it's enhancement bonus is "not high enough"?
That just *can't* be the rule; just to say it makes it sound nutty. So...no. Not at my table :)
You PFS GMs can suck it up. Me? I'm having the ancient black dragon which is FAR more magical than any magic sword snap that puppy in half!

Ironically I just noticed it within the last week or so as well. So much is spread so whimsically throughout the book. If I didn't reread the Core book ever 3 months or so I'd never have noticed half the changes I find. It's quite easy to understand how so many posters and players just get things wrong trying to find all the changes made or unmade between editions or for new players struggling to understand how all the rule subsystems interact.

Episode 11 have revealed the limitations of itunes and the size of the files they can deal with.
We apologize to those of you who have had difficulty with your subscription d/l.
Please assist your download of Ep 11 manually, we think is worth the extra effort!
We promise to publish smaller files in the future.
We're even looking into how feasible it will be to separate the Companion and Chronicles sections.
Furthermore, I assure you that no over compensation was intended as a result of the delayed release schedule! ;)
We have received an abundance of great feedback on this episode and I hope you'll find it a value to your game and equally entertaining!
Cheers!
