Suddenly his hand must be all better, as he is cranking out the comics!
Apparently one of the things from the Kickstarter a while back was that he would post 9 comics in 9 days... This is the point in the plotline he intended that to happen, so he's trying to do so. He has noted, though, that if his hand causes problems, he'll bail and do the 9 comics in 9 days another time.

I don't think we're done yet either.
Oracle Prophecy from the OotS wiki:
The Oracle gave the following unsolicited "answer" to Roy Greenhilt's ghost: "Belkar will draw his last breath - ever - before the end of the year" but says (directly to the readers, who he refers to has "Oracle Fans") that it is an "in-comic" year, not a real time year.

An interesting thought:
Spoiler:
Vampires don't breathe, right? So it's *possible* that Belkar might get turned into a vampire, and yet still remain one of the characters in the strip. Because, you know, Oracles are all about that sort of easily-misenterpretable prophecies. ;-)

Belkar future fate speculation:
Belkar's dedication to warning Roy about Durkon's fate made me think... Is it possible that today we see a beginning of a radical shift of Belkar's personality and his foresought by the Oracle last breath will be done before sacrificing oneself for greater good? What are the odds?
