I use "What You Say Is What You Say" to warn my players against this. Though I more often use it in tense social encounters :-p

That said, who can truly claim to have never done this ? And the tactical briefing often far exceeds 6 seconds

Yep. I especially make sure my players understand "You have limited time to respond."

Spoiler:
So did they have a change of heart and switch deities, or is Loki CN in this world?

Spoiler:
I don't know, but I imagine it doesn't much matter. Helga wants revenge on "a" Durkon (even if it's a vampire), and her doing so neatly aligns with Loki's desires.

Not really an edit, but like it:
Oh, wait, you meant "turn undead" - hm... good question. I don't know!

Hm, actually, this dates the entire strip, right?

Unless dwarves have unusual gestation rates, we know that it's gotta be less than ~14 months, yeah? The baby doesn't look like he's a full year old.

(Well, he would if he's mine, but that's because both of mine were really small, so I wouldn't guess that's necessarily true, relative to a normal Dwarf size of Helga.)

I knew we had some sort of time-reference - I thought the thing with the desert took nearly a year, though.

OH! Actually, no, it makes sense. Dwarves mature more slowly than humans, so dwarf babies might well take longer to grow. Right! Hyped about hearing the story!

Elves, 20 years in diapers was established in the prequel comics i think.

Makes sense!

Yeah, I feel like we haven't seen the last of Hilgya, either. With the way Loki voted at the Godsmoot, she's on the same side as the OotS, now.

*high five* Good call.

I figured we'd see her again, but I wasn't making any predictions about when and where.

I'm glad to see the return of the best the Linear guild had to offer. :)

Thanks! The kid completely is completely unexpected, though. I get the benefit of being smug AND surprised at the same time!

Well. That was a twist.

It was but not entirely since some people here have been suggesting it, Ventnor.

I already had totally forgotten about her. Seems like she didn't that much of an impression on me. But the baby is cute. ^^

Excellent turn of events. Rich Burlew still manages to amaze me with his pacing and plot twists.

And we over here made it to page 100 on this thread, as Elan would have said, “Woohoo for us!”

I wasn't surprised we made it to 100. I just kept wondering if we'd get to 200 before the comic ran out of steam...
